Super disappointed in the behavior on an employee at this shop. We came with a group to downtown Raleigh, had never been in Morgan Street Food Hall before. Each and every other restaurant/booth, along with their employees were helpful, kind, friendly, and created such a cool vibe in this food hall space. A small part of our group walked up to the Bad Cat and as an adult tried to check out the menu, realize their child had a small plastic ball toy in her hand. I am attaching photos to show how Bad Cat has these toys right at the level of children and easily accessible for customers to look at the stores items prior to purchasing your total. The child had the toy in her hand briefly and the female employee working at Bad Cat began raising her voice at the child saying “SALES ONLY NO TOUCHING!” The adult immediately got her child to put the toy down and continued looking at the menu. A few moments later another child (not even in our group) approached with her parent and the employee did the exact same thing to this child but more aggressively. The mom immediately had the child put the toy down and I began to notice what’s happening here. I walk up as another child begins to grab at these large cat stuffed animals the store has right at childs level, and the female employee yells again NO TOUCHING ONLY SALES! And continues to mumble rude comments about children with her back towards us. I then ask, “are we allowed to touch any of your items before buying them?” And this female employee states “No!”

I find it hard to understand why there is a need to be so rude to children. These toys are placed literally lower at a child’s level and then the children are yelled at when they slightly touch one. I walked around and experienced the rest of the food hall with these same children and no other employee or restaurant spoke to them or any of us with such bad attitude and aggressiveness. I’ve read other reviews now for this place and it seems to be a pattern.

Bottom line Bad Cat- it doesn’t cost you a dime to be nice. That’s literally all we should be as humans towards one another- ESPECIALLY TOWARDS CHILDREN- the future of this world.

Do better employee at Bad...

I loveeeeee bad cat I come at least twice a month minimum and the employees are always super fun very sweet very happy to be there I’m not sure what’s going on today but the 2 teenage girls just had the most god awful attitudes and definitely did not want to be there as soon as I walked up I was met with “ are you ready “ very loud and abruptly I hadn’t even fully walked over yet or looked at a menu I did know what I wanted but it was just a lot for not even getting to the stand first and Linda demanding I felt very rushed and I asked a few questions about the matcha that she rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders too and just said oh I don’t know so I ended up walking away unfortunately I did come out of my way to enjoy breakfast here this morning so I did go back and order cause it was silly to just leave and be hungry due to her attitude problem I had the other girl this time and it was just very rushed very careless and she wanted me in and out mind you there was no line and it was very empty in here i got my order and all is well. I just hate that I went out of my way to come somewhere that I usually enjoy and now I’m leaving with a bad taste in my mouth due to the employees attitudes...

Horrible experience. We got there around 10 and ordered- maybe 1 person in front of us at the time. They said 15 minutes, no worries at all! We waited and after about 40 minutes just went up to check on the status of our order since it had been so long. The girl making the crepes immediately started throwing a tantrum talking about how they’re getting to it and they’re super busy and just having a major attitude and really just being so incredibly rude it took me back. We just were trying to ask about the timeline since we were told it was 15 minutes and it had been 40 at this point. Then when the food actually came out the crepes were raw, there was skins still on the banana and the inside was still cold. The person taking orders was extremely sweet and I feel bad that she has to put up with the girl making the orders since apparently asking where your food is just sets her off. We absolutely...

I’m an Instacart shopper, and after helping deliver some items to a store, I received a tip—and something extra! As I was about to leave, they kindly asked if I’d like a drink and offered me a free iced coffee. On a hot summer day, their kindness truly helped me cool down. Not only were they genuinely kind-hearted, but the coffee was also delicious—with a sweet, lingering aftertaste. I highly recommend trying their coffee! ☕✨

This is like trail magic on a Saturday morning. Super friendly, fun staff that bring a smile to the start of your day. The coffee lattes are great and I had a sausage, egg and cheese burrito that hit the spot. This is inside the Morgan Street food Hall with plenty of space to grab a seat and stay warm on a chilly winter morning. Thank you for the good vibes!
