First time at Kilwins. Didn't know what to expect. Kilwins has ice cream and also chocolates and fudge and other treats made on premise. We went for the ice cream and left with more. Its a real treat. It starts when you enter the place. The smells of the chocolates and other treats hits you. Its almost intoxicating. If you're having a bad day, just walk in and smell the goodness. It'll make it better. We decided to get some chocolate also. We got a couple bars. They have chocolate in various forms, gummy candies, different flavors of fudge, white confection bars and rice crispy treats with assorted coatings. And the ice cream. There were about 20 tantalizing flavors. The wife went with two scoops in a waffle bowl. One scoop chocolate and one scoop peanut butter. She was quite pleased. I went with two scoops in a waffle bowl also. I got a scoop of cake batter and a scoop of toasted coconut. Fantastic! Kyle got our ice cream for us. Super friendly. What a place. This won't be my last...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Amazing Experience at Kilwin’s North Hills!

I had such a great visit to Kilwin’s in North Hills that I just had to leave a review. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome, but May and Bobby went above and beyond. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful, answering all my questions and offering samples with a smile. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, and it made the whole experience even sweeter.

And speaking of sweet, the Key Lime Pie ice cream stole the show! It's the perfect balance of tangy and creamy, with little graham cracker bits that give it that real pie flavor. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. It instantly became my favorite.

Between the top-tier service from May and Bobby and the delicious treats, this place is a must-visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, treat yourself. You...

Asked if I can taste the coconut chip ice cream because Im pregnant and I wouldn’t want to order it and dislike it and the rule is they don't do that anymore is what the young lady said not her fault , but then I pulled my mask under my nose for like 2 seconds because with being pregnant 🤰🏽 my breathing is restricted seeing as how I practically ran down there to try it before they close. The white chunky lady was rude about it said can you pull up your mask please with a very harsh tone instead of saying I'm sorry we have to keep our masks up at all times because of covid restrictions .... its a bit ridiculous especially since most customers like myself are vaccinated I just would’ve appreciated it if she was more courteous about it. Maybe be more conscious about the type of customers rather than assuming I was pulling my mask down for no reason 🤨do better with...

Just found this place, and I am so glad I did. They have the best fudge in Raleigh, the melt in your mouth super rich kind. Everyone was so nice when we went. Orion is the guy who helped us out and he was very friendly and knowledgeable on all the chocolates. He was patient through us trying almost every flavor of fudge. We stocked up on hot cocoa and Peppermint bark. The shop displays are very pretty and they have a lot of different products. They also sold icecream by the scoop, have icecream cakes, and gift baskets.

After eating dinner at a restaurant in the same neighborhood, we stopped in for dessert on a weekday evening. Having been to Petoskey, Michigan, which is where this chain of dessert shops started, I was curious to see the Raleigh version. We ordered a sprinkle-covered caramel apple and a marshmallow encased in a layer of chocolate covered with sprinkles. Needless to say, both were delicious. We also ordered some other small chocolate goodies. The service was OK. Prices are average for this type of facility.

Did you know Kilwins was founded in Petoskey by a husband & wife in the late 1940’s? Growing up in Michigan I frequently visited and enjoyed their amazing sweets. Because they franchise, they’ve been able to open over 150 locations in 26 states. The Kilwins location in North Hills is a great spot because it’s across the street from a little green space, surrounded by residential apartments with lots of families just hanging out with their kids. Stop by & Enjoy!
