Horrible. Bartenders need some work. Joke of a staff. Tipped him $7 on a $28, 4 drink special. You took 4 cups from a stack of cups. You put some ice in each cup. You poured some gnarly vodka in each cup. You then opened an energy drink. You haphazardly poured the drink between the 4 cups. I gave you $7 tip. It took you 2 minutes. If you did this every time for an hour you would make $210 in tips. Maybe it's only $4. Now you make $120 in tips. My dentist doesn't make $120. Then when I returned to get a beer from you and gave you $3 for the $3 beer which took you all of 4 seconds to open and process, you complained, waved my 3 dollar bills in the air and presumed to make a scene for not getting a dollar - like a child in a candy store. Disrespectful. Not my fault you don't have a real career and you're stuck pouring drinks for college kids who laugh at you, but have some decency and remember your customers. Can't wait to order a $40 tab next time, all custom drinks, and forget to tip - gonna smile so big! And move it - too slow. Get some kids behind the bar who have some respect and move their feet. You look like Chelsea behind the counter.
Now regarding the actual business, logistics is the problem. Prepare to wait 9 hours for a drink because the bartenders move too slow. Understaffed on weekends. Warm beers. Too crowded -- should have setup an outside bar for beers and cash only. You probably have a decent margin on bottled domestic beers at $3 per, but you can't keep the people moving enough...
Read moreCame in on the left side. It was quiet, so I went into the back and ordered food. When I came back over they'd put on some terrible music where every other word was the n-word, and at ridiculous volume. There was 6 people in the whole bar, and it was loud enough for a nightclub. The couple at the bar were yelling into each others ears. So bellied up to the bar and was ignored entirely as the employees were talking with a patron and then amongst themselves. Finally one of the bartenders noticed me. I ordered a Guinness, and was again disappointed. After settling the top third of the glass was foam, and I had to flag the bartender down again to get him to top it off correctly. The worst part was the Guiness wasn't cold. It was colder than room temperature, but it's what I'd describe as "warm beer". Finally the food came out, and it was disgusting. I ordered loaded cheese fries. What I got was fries in cheese soup, with blackened bits of char that were once bacon. Tasted more like a forest fire than bacon. The dish was basically taco bell nacho cheese poured over fries to make a soup, and then a bunch of ranch added on top of that. The cheese wasn't good either, it had a sour flavor. The fries were at least cooked well. I could tell from the few around the edges that weren't completely soaked with cheese.
Maybe the place is just trying to be authentic: Terrible food, terrible service, and warm beer is endemic in England... but this is Raleigh, not England. I...
Read moreFor context, bartender got super busy after I put my order in for a Rocket salad (chicken and ranch). Came out with blue cheese crumble which i really don't like blue cheese. Sorry it tastes like soap. It wasn't even mention in the menus description that the salad had blue cheese in it...
Bartender was super nice though and sent it back. Unfortunately the new Rocket Salad came out with blue cheese dressing instead of ranch😢.
Clearly not the bartenders fault but there is a severe lack of communication with the kitchen. Bartender even told me he didn't know how to tell the kitchen to remake it a 2nd time.
I told him he could still charge me for a salad but he didn't which was really nice.💜
Definitely do NOT order food from here though. Especially if they don't tell you what is actually in the meal you ordered and they can't get communication with the kitchen to function.
Other than that its an awesome sports bar with fun events happening all the time. Music bingo was pretty...
