Sarku Japan Teriyaki & Sushi Express — Restaurant in Ramsey

Okay I'll share. First of all I'm not from around where this restaurant is. When I get sushi by me it's usually hand rolled fancy Japanese sushi made fresh to order with lots of other options and different fish. I thought this was just a limited Sushi menu in a Japanese restaurant and I didn't know it was a fast food place per se. The grab and go Sushi by the register was a little off-putting but I still had decent expectations. When I got back to my room it looked like they made the Rolls backwards. The Dragon Roll had no Crunchies in it but the spicy tuna roll did. The spicy tuna roll wasn't spicy but the Dragon Roll was. The Dragon Roll was moderately cold the spicy tuna roll was warm. Just not a good experience for my first time I guess. I ordered pick up and my ticket said delivery and when I asked for my order with my name the cashier was going to give me a completely different huge order instead of my little tiny order there was only two on the counter. I probably won't ever come back because I live 2 hours away and I was there for training but it just wasn't what I expected and it didn't hit my craving. Don't get me wrong. I knew for a long time about this Sarku store, but this was my first time visiting here. It is the biggest, baddest and cleanest Sarku ever!!!! The teriyaki aroma is just in the air. Huge space, full display of teriyaki menu, kitchen in the back, chefs grilling chicken behind glass window, and lots of tables to dine-in.

I got three chicken and shrimp with fried rice. Also got couple of sushi rolls. My order was ready within 5 minutes. Perfectly packaged for the ride home. It has the exact Sarku teriyaki taste, chicken and shrimp were perfectly cooked, rice was soft and moist. Sushi were good enough for their price, as they are pre-made.

Whenever I am around the area, I am going to stop by here to serve my chicken...

Even though this is apart of a chain which i usually like the food at most of them around NJ and ROCKLAND, This one in particular has to be the worst one to me, been here about 3 times just giving them the benefit of doubt and every time the experience is horrible, spend over $20 each time, the food portions is horrible, i order the shrimp and chicken n it’s less and less shrimp everytime, ordered cooked sushi i get it and it’s cold, spending more the $20 each time, after getting my food they try charging me for sauces which is something i don’t experience and i feel like I’m rushed at the register like forcing me to be done or try to...
