I took my 80 year old mother to buy a new bed. Damian was wonderful. He did not pressure us at all and he did not show us the most expensive mattress. He asked my mom questions and listened to what she had to say. He made what could have been a very stressful situation into a pleasant experience.
I would like to edit my previous review. While my opinion on our salesperson, Damian stays the same-he was wonderful and very helpful-my opinion of delivery has caused me to lower my rating. The mattress I bought for my mother was to be delivered to her new assisted living residence today. I specifically said it is going to an assisted living place and was assured the delivery folks knew that place. I called the day before to make sure the delivery people had phone number if AL place along with contact person. Then today I get a call saying they are there from delivery person. I explained that they were to call the other number and he didn’t know what I was talking about. I hung up with him and got the number of the assisted living place and called him back to tell him. No one answered his phone so I left a message. Apparently the driver left and my mom’s mattress was not delivered. I called the store tonight and spoke with a very rude woman who told me the mattress cannot be delivered tomorrow now and I would need to call them back in the morning to reschedule delivery. She also informed me that the driver waited 15 minutes and then left. That cannot be true b/c I called him back within 10 minutes. PLUS they were parked in front of an assisted living place! Ring the bell and ask someone there for goodness sake! So bottom line the salesman was great and helpful but the delivery person was horrible, and the woman I spoke with on phone tonight was not helpful...
Read moreIf I could rate this company lower than a 1 star, I would. The process of buying a mattress and having it delivered has been a nightmare from the start. I purchased a mattress and 2 pillows for a total of nearly $1000.00. I was advised by the representative Bridget, the 2 pillows were discounted for $10 per pillow a total of 20$. My card was charge full price of 149.25. I made multiple phone call, even contacted the district manager Todd who cowardly sent his representative Bridget, who cased this issue in the first place to correct it. We are now 3 months from the purchase date and I still have not have this issue corrected and as of 5/18/2024 Bridget called to provide me an update where she laughed continuously over this matter. The delivery workers also privately texted me asked to take me out and "hook up". I've tried returning the mattress because it is terrible and is causing me back problems BUT THEY WONT TAKE IT BACK. I WILL NEVER make another purchase at this place again and will persuade people from giving them their business in the future. It is pathetic and disturbing this is what Mattress Warehouse thinks is appropriate customer service.
Edit/update- what you could do to make this right is exchange bed to something am happier with or pick the bed up and take it back because it will be out on the curb within the week and I will dispute the rest of the charges/ purchase with my bank since the signature on the papers I received from the first dispute paperwork that was provided by your embarrassment of a company didn’t have my personal signature on all the pages. Read moreI am so impressed with Mattress Firm. Here’s why. I had never been in the local store, now closed due to Covid. My adult daughter dialed the number of the Ramsey store and then handed me the phone. We needed a new mattress for the never-used daybed, just moved to ground level of our house for my husband, who was about to return home after hip replacement. The old matttress, we quickly realized was too thin and too squishy for him. Damian, hearing our dilemma, proposed several solutions and offered to stay late - Saturday night - or come in early- on a Sunday morning - to help us get what we needed. We held off because there was too much else to deal with at homecoming, and the poor suffering guy managed fine at first, sleeping in an electric lift-off recliner. Two days in I called back and reached Robert Gimbel who was outstanding in finding me just what I needed, excellent price, next day delivery - without my ever leaving the house or my post-op husband. Secure online interface for payment and delivery process was simple to use. These two men were outstanding - they certainly know customer service - and I will most definitely return to Matress Firm for all...
