I had a really disappointing experience at this Burlington location. I came in to return a few items well within the return window — I still had four days left — but an older Arabic lady at the counter was incredibly rude from the start. She immediately pressured me to accept store credit, even though I clearly stated I wanted a refund to my card and was still within the return policy. She then accused me of using the items, even though every single item I returned still had the tags visibly attached — including wallets with tags hanging right off them. I explained this to her, but she kept insisting they were used and even said some items were “dirty,” which was completely false. One item was a makeup bag, and she said it didn’t open well — of course it didn’t, the tag was still attached, and you have to cut it to open the bag. That’s the point: it was brand new. She kept sighing loudly, inspecting the items over and over again, and questioning why I was returning them — which is really none of her business as long as I followed the return policy. Then she tried to selectively choose what to refund me, even though all items were new and eligible for return. Eventually, I just got tired of explaining myself and accepted what she was willing to refund. I later went to another Burlington further down the highway, and they processed the return with zero issues — friendly, quick, and professional. This location really needs to work on its customer service. Being treated like I did something wrong for simply making a return within the policy is unacceptable. I will attach photo of the items that she said...
Read moreBeing a regular at discount stores like TJMaxx, Marshall's, Ross, etc., I never expect a lot except organized chaos, and that's fine. This store has work to do.
I was in TJMaxx across the parking lot and stopped in here last minute looking for a gift. I was in there less than 10 minutes and had to leave. The clothing racks are the usual pot of mixed things, but it's all of the surrounding shelves of "stuff" that was overwhelming. Toiletries that had packages opened and half the item missing, broken items or open boxes with missing items in the home section, packages of make-up and hair accesories that were broken open and empty, 2 pairs of shoes that had been "traded in" and left behind on the shelf... it was a lot to take in. The high ceilings and open warehouse design didn't help because it gave the store a cold feeling. I was in there on a Saturday night and there was one register open. The woman in front of me had a full cart and I had 1 item. No one came to open another register. Myself and the person behind me left the line to put our things back and we left.
I have patience for these stores because it's like shopping on Christmas eve - you know what you're going to get before you walk in. I realize it recently opened but this store has work to do. I'll try again but it's going...
Read moreThey have a good selection of baby clothes but lacking in size 11 shoes selection. Every time I visit, there is barely a complete selection of shoes in size 11.
Lastly, they have started back to charging for using their bags for items purchased in their store. This isn't a honest policy and there are other stores who don't practice such dishonesty.
So, I will not be coming back God willing until they cease from such robbery practices.
Really someone buys your merchandise and you have the nerve to start back charging them for the use of bags for items purchased in their store. Totally...
