The Tub of Tequila. After a LONG day dealing with my kids (5 & 3 y.o)and what felt lk a mountian of BS. When the sharply dressed and empathetic waitress looked at my amazing wife's tired an my tired, frazzled, looking faces. She deftly took our drink orders an politely waited for me to fumble my margarita drink request due to tiredness.... when asked "regular or Large?" Lk any guy I answered "Large" expecting a decent sized drink. What I was not expecting was what looked and felt lk a "Small Tub" of Tequila with flavor. A gourd. A I needed a cup an the only thing I could find was medium sized Vase I took the flowers out of to use, A "I've had smaller "Thirst buster XL" sodas" from circle K... an then as I stared my wife down in a "were ready to go waste not want not" duel of wills.... our server walks up raises an eyebrow seeing the determination on my face while staring down my wife an with a nod lk a boss with a chin lift says "you want to take it to go?" Oh the fury on my wife's face she shot him as I said "yes, totally." Just make sure you don't pop the seal before your outside of the parking area. Request granted. Drunk most of the rest of the night... .. .. oh an food was pretty good. Hit the spot where good food, meets clean, meets fancy display, meets price point for a decent night out. Family of 4 ninety one $ includs my 21 $ "Tub of Tequila".🤣😉 had me lit for hours... an I can Drink when...
Read moreOur family decided this would be a great place to get a lot of us together since right off the freeway. We called ahead of time to warn them we'd have a party of approximately 16-people. They made it work. We all wanted so many different items of course. The food was exceptional. Not too greasy, not overly spicy and yet plenty of flavor. We had come on a weekend around noon. With all of us catching up visiting, eating & adding late family members: they were so very accommodating. Even after we'd finished eating, we kept visiting for at least 45-minutes. Still nobody tried to rush us off. Our waiter & waitress helped those of us with leftovers put the food in containers. After being there enjoying almost the entire menu (between all of us), we decided to let them have their restaurant's tables for more customers. Even still they were accommodating as we tallied and divided the bill. As we left, we spent another 45- minutes in front of the restaurant saying our "good-byes." It's rare for our large family to find a restaurant that doesn't try to run us all off street we've finished eating. Casa Ramos is a very family friendly restaurant with fair prices, something for everyone's diet preferences and the greatest staff. Highly recommend if your family is HUGE as mine...
Read moreI ordered Seafood Chimichanga A medley of shrimp, scallops and fish sautéed and mildly seasoned. Nestled in a crisp fried rolled tortilla and smothered with salsa de Mazatlan.
The cilantro rice is quite palatable. The guacamole is also tasty. Now comes to the crisp fried rolled tortilla, it is big, grande. If you have a small stomach like mine, do not load up with chips&salsa. I had to do a surgery on the rolled tortilla to enjoy the shrimps, fish, and scallops. Plenty of shrimps, enough fish but hardly found scallops. It would suggest to upgrade the shrimps to prawns. Just slice the prawns in half before sautéeing. It is more enjoyable to have quality than quantity. Service is great. I like to be left alone to enjoy the food. They do check on you but not often. By the way, I do like the chips&salsa. The fried tortilla chips are thin enough for you to hear crack when chewing. I do not like the thick tortilla chips. And I enjoy the salsa; almost drink it. Try to ask for a table away from the air vent because seafood dish must stay warm while consuming to the last piece. All in all. A good restaurant. Do enjoy it, and take home if you have to,...
