DO NOT COME HERE!!! If I could leave a 0 star rating I would! I had made Mother's Day brunch reservations online through open table, to secure my reservation I was prompted to send a $120 deposit ($100 for the reservation) IS WHAT I WAS TOLD WHEN I CALLED THE RESTAURANT. $20 for an extra Mother's Day table decor and champagne bottle. The deposit price seemed kind of high so I called to confirm what my deposit was going towards. The first time I called this establishment they had responded immediately to let me know that my deposit would be "going towards my check". The day of brunch my party goes to our table which was "decorated" with about 3-4 cheap synthetic flowers in a vase with a $20 bottle of champagne. My server was great and it's not his fault, but the food was just terrible and took about an HOUR to come out. Understandable that they are busy as it was Mother's Day, not to mention I currently work and have worked at multiple different restaurants since the moment I turned 16. I did not complain about this as I completely understand the difficulty of running a restaurant at such a large capacity. The food was so terrible that out of my party of 4, not a single one of us finished our entrees AND appetizers. This was the one and only time I have NOT gotten a to-go box for my food simply because it was SO bland. I personally ordered esquite appetizer and fajitas. This was BY FAR THE WORST Mexican food I have EVER had. At the end of my meal my server hands me the check and I go to clarify with him if my $120 deposit was added to it. I mention that I spoke with an employee over the phone beforehand and he said that I was given the wrong information and that I was going to be reimbursed the $100 as it was just to hold the table and reservation, $20 is non refundable as it was for the champagne bottle (understandable). A week or two goes by and I have not received reimbursement for my deposit so I call the establishment on 5/17 and this was the LAST time I have heard back from them. I speak with a manager and he seems like he wants to help takes down my information and tells me I will receive a call back within the next 3-4 days. I waited even longer than that just to provide some lenience. It is now 6/23 that I write this review and I have called over and over both the number attached here on yelp and the number attached directly from google. This place has yet to call me back and has not responded to a single voicemail or phone call that I have left. This is BEYOND unprofessional, and my next step is to go directly to the establishment, file a complaint, and demand my money back!! I would really prefer to not have to go down there as I work 2 different jobs and 7 days a week but their miscommunication, unprofessionalism, and complete disregard to resolving my issue with them leaves me with no other choice. I will NEVER...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, they've changed ownership and the entire menu! Not for the better. Had the BBQ ribs for appetizer, and they were not bad, just had too BBQ sauce and fat in them. If you order, get the sauce on the side. They've drastically reduced the menu. The problem with this is that they've added things that just don't cut it as being some of their main dishes or appetizers. Tried the rib eye aguachiles and it was terrible. Made with a soy sauce, that's really all you could taste and it was too salty. The meat was chewy and full of fat and gristle. Left more than half on the plate. The main dish was the lamb shank or as listed on the menu, "BORREGO EN CHILE COLORADO $35". The lamb was very tender and well cooked, but the Colorado sauce was all you could taste. There was no variety of flavors and took away from the lamb. Maybe if the sauce has a fuller range of flavor it would have been better, but it was just overpowering. We were asked by management how everything was and I shared exactly what I put here, and instead of trying to understand and take notes, he defended their menu and the way things were prepared. Didn't offer to take anything off the check or replace with something else. Very poor customer service. This used to be one my favorite spots, but now this place is not the same. Don't recommend this place at all. Go somewhere else. Food is trash and overpriced. Service is mediocre at best. Only thing good was the Margarita flight, but you can get that anywhere else...
Read moreStopped here for lunch while in Fontana and had a great experience, broken down below.
Food: Very good chips and salsa to start, ask for their hot red and green salsa if you like spicy! For the meals our small group got the breakfast burritos and enchiladas. I was told the burritos were on point and were gigantic, they have beans in them just a heads up. The fries that came with them were like McDonalds fries. I got red enchiladas, they were not your normal Mexican restaurant enchiladas but in a good way. The sauce was unlike any enchilada sauce I've had, more like pizza sauce, very tasty and I would for sure get them again. Afterwards we shared an order of churros, which were delicious and fresh. Cadillac margaritas were A+ as well, although quite expensive.
Service: Our waiter was a friendly and engaging gentleman. He recommended 2 or 3 drinks, the hot salsas, and the churros. We tried them all and were happy we did. After lunch he chatted with us about all the tequilas they have in the entrance. Excellent example for all wait staff to aspire to.
Atmosphere: Pleasant, kinda dimly lit, relaxed vibe in this place. Something that stood out to me was the nice amount of space between tables, unlike some spots where you feel too crowded in. The green plants all over the ceiling (definitely fake, but still) were a nice touch.
5 stars all around from our group, we'll be back the next time...
