We walked in and were the only people there (other than employees). The girl ringing up our order was not wearing a uniform and had no idea how to ring up our order. We became exasperated after she failed to enter in our simple order and asked loudly if someone could help her (after hearing - completely unsolicited- about her life story about how she was injured at her last job and was suspended and that's why she's now working at McDonald's). My husband even looked at the employee ringing up the meal and said, "no disrespect to you, you just don't know what you're doing." And she agreed and said she understood.
A girl then came over to help her and rang up our order without incident. We went to sit down to wait for our meal. When the meal came up the manager advised that if we "were disrespectful one more time" we would be asked to leave.
We were completely taken aback. We asked for to go bags and filled them with our food ourselves and advised that we were not disrespectful at all and that if they have an employee working the register she should be trained or have someone with her to train her. The manager said, "well, it's her first day." We replied that it didn't matter what day it was, if she doesn't know how to work the system, it's her job as the manager to ensure she does.
We then left without incident. However, the experience ruined what was a great night. These employees were rude and had zero care for the customer experience. I wouldn't subject yourself to...
Read moreVery chaotic! Most of the time food is old and not hot. I think they are having problems with the staff. New update 6/6/2021- How can one McDonald's be completely different than another a mile away? The one in Ranson says there isn't such a thing as extra fries in a big kids meal but the one in charlestown and every other McDonald's knows there is. How can the one in Ranson only take 1 car at a time thru the drive thru? It's about a 25 minute wait to get to your food. The one in Charlestown takes multiple orders and has your food in 10 minutes or less. What could it be? Management? Its not covid cause it was the same before covid. All McDonald's should be the same but this one isn't. I live a mile away but choose to go to Charlestown when I eat McDonald's. Always something missing or wrong with your order at this McDonald's. I see these 5 star reviews and I would bet the employees, their friends, owner, owner friends wrote these. Anyone would realize this is a...
Read moreBefore ordering, my daughter and I used the restroom, where there was soap, hand dryers, but no working sink. We had to rinse our hands with water from the fountain. We then ordered two happy meals and were overcharged for both. I brought it up and had to wait while five people discussed it before getting me a $1 refund. We never received the BBQ we asked for and then had cold dry fries. You can also tell that everyone here "loves" their job. I don't believe we will be returning anytime soon.
On my visit after this, a week later after considering a second chance, I thought I had been to a totally different store. The girls working were great! Quick, accurate, and friendly. Had to get another refund after being overcharged for a happy meal, but it went much smoother. I talked to them about my last experience and thanked them for making this one better. I'm willing to try there again, hopefully service will slowly better. Bumping my...
