I've been traveling for 15 years for work. Both around us and Locally in Texas, I have never ever written a restaurant review-until now. I feel compelled to share my experience with Bengali Kitchen. I ordered Goat Biryani, but instead I received Pulao. As an Indian who knows how to cook, I'm very familiar with difference between Biryani and Pulao. I called the restaurant to confirm what I ordered he said Biryani (assumed it was the owner) I informed him I received Pulao. He claims that this is Bengali biryani not normal biryani. I paid $18 for this so called biryani when I opened this containers it had a foiled fold like a burrito, which was half the container, order Kheer for $4 which came in sauce containers. For those unfamiliar with Indian, Bengali, Pakistani or Nepali cuisine, I urge you to find an authentic restaurant. The fact the owner argued with me insisting everyone loves his food. I say its not good at all. Rice tasted like it was boiled rice with no salt. This is not how any food should taste like. Anyone who thinks this is good food: please try something else. Ya'll deserve better & get your moneys...
Read moreThis was my first time trying Bangladeshi food outside of Bangladesh, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. We ordered nearly $200 worth of food, but the service was absolutely awful. One of the chicken curry dishes had a hair in it, and when we politely asked the server to replace it, he responded rudely without even offering an apology.
It took them 15 minutes just to bring us water, and when we asked for more water at the end of our meal, they completely ignored us. The staff seemed indifferent and unprofessional throughout our visit.
We were told our food would be ready in 30 minutes, but we ended up waiting for more than an hour. Overall, the poor service and lack of hygiene made this a very disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the money...
Read moreFood test and quantity is very very low. Service is very worst. Owner is serving the food by hand without any serving bowl and also doesn’t know how to behave with customer. His tone was very rude. Does not know how to talk or deal with customer. Kitchen and eating space are together. So the eating environment is not good.
I would recommend people(even Bangladeshi) to find better place to eat, where you eat whatever you pay for. There are lots of halal restaurant near by.
For the owner, i would recommend you and your wife to do restaurant management training, if you think you would like to stay in the restaurant business, specially the owner(man) who was...
