China Gourmet — Restaurant in Rapid City

The owner is incredibly rude. We had ordered with them weekly, sometimes twice with no issue. We know it takes a bit longer to delive to Box Elder so we always call ahead, with the order ready. Sadly, the last few times have been a CRUSHING disappointment. Last time, it was my fiancée's birthday and the sushi order was incorrect- usually the lady who answers the phone always gets it correct but this time it was a young man with an accent. He didn't bother confirming the order, which could have prevented the whole mess, and he was very curt and short. This time around, we ordered our usual- and it was a catastrophe. Not only was the chicken undercooked; half of the rolls incorrect AND topped with spicy mayo (crab rolls do not bode well for those with shellfish allergies), and the other rolls had nigh inedible fish (tuna so aged it was dull, dark purple) and came with wasabi and ginger (which we always request they leave out, usually with success). We called a little early- after six and a half hours waiting to hear back, we drove there ourselves to simply get the sushi order corrected, (as he refused to send the corrected order by delivery). When we arrived, we were rudely confronted by the owner, who insisted it was not his fault, and even said he would never deliver to us again! (Our weekly date night place, now apparently not an option) Again we WERE regular customers, who tip generously. If I could give him zero stars I would. He was rude, unwelcoming, and combative with us in front of other customers. Instead of correcting the second mistake, he all but shoo'ed us, paying customers, as though we were a nuisance. I went in last night at ten to 8. I had been grocery shopping and running errands all day and was tired so thought, heck, lets try it! I'd never eaten here before, but a friend said she liked them. They have take out--fast and easy right? WRONG! My order was in at 7:55 and I was told it was a 10-15 minute wait. Well 20 minutes later I'm curious where my food is as they only had 3 other groups at all, and I just ordered orange chicken and rice. But hey, they make it to order right? No big deal. I work in a restaurant and I understand some nights are better than others. 25 minutes since placing my order, the lady comes out and quickly said something about the chef "miscounting the number of orange chickens he had to make, but he was making mine now." Uhh...they forgot my order? Okay...well 15 more minutes pass and she looks out and sees me sitting there, and says "you STILL haven't gotten your orange chicken?!" Uh, no, I haven't. Thanks for reminding me. She was yelling at the other staff in front of guests too. 45 minutes after placing my order I finally get my food and leave. I drive 5-10 minutes to my apartment downtown, and, quite hungry at this point, chow down. It was disappointing and I didn't eat it. The chicken had apparently gotten cold and recooked because they forgot it so it was tough and rubbery. The sauce had congealed and the breading was soggy. I used to order here all the time. Since its the only place that will deliver sushi to my area. I also ordered from their menu often. The food was always good but customer service has always been lacking. Untill recently! I ordered well over 50$ worth of food. I received it late(as usual!). And when I went to eat it there was chunks of black licorice in my general tsaos, my egg rolls were sour, my fried rice had huge chunks of onion! By this time they were closed. I wake up a few hours later spewing vile muck from both ends! I call the next day and the young man says there's nothing he can do cuz he didn't work last night but the lady who was works the next day and will call me. No one ever called. But I was a loyal customer and tried again today(only ordering sushi since the Chinese menu made me sick) I was quote 45-1hr. I received my food 2 hrs later and was late to work! This time my maki rolls tasted like moldy vegtables were used. I will never order anything from here again. I did not bother to call today for 2 reasons, I'm at work and 2. They already showed me they don't care about my business, which I'll be taking to ichibans, and...
