I observed and witnessed employees mocking a polite customer behind his back that was in front of me in line, which was disturbing, for he had done nothing to warrant such behavior. He explained, that he no longer goes to Starbucks because of Starbucks woke policies, and asked Scooter's employees, to explain which drink was most like a Carmel Machiatto because he wanted to start giving his daily business to Scooters instead. After making a purchase, while he was at the counter where the straws were, several employees had gathered in a sort of knitting circle to gossip about him, and looked in his direction and were mocking him in exaggerated facial gestures and arm movements, equivalent to children sticking their tongues out giving the finger, until he looked up and they abruptly stopped so he wouldn't see what they were doing, for which I was appalled, but not surprised, because I frequently see the ladies behind the counter act unprofessionally in this manner. It appears from my patronage for several months, there are no men working there and the women treat the men in a manner that is frowned upon, if men do it to women. It's nice to see the liberal double standard alive and well at Scooters. I met the man in the parking lot and told him what they did behind his back and he said he saw it. We both agreed, to take our business to Black Hills Coffee or elsewhere.
I usually spend around $10 a visit 4-6 days a week, but since the employees have no concern for bringing in repeat customer revenue by their bad behavior, I will oblige them from now on. As a business owner myself, I would clean house for a better customer service attitude, and hire an equal balance of men and women. Additionally, when asked to have the owner contact me, the so-called manager ripped up my number, as I walked out the door and they were collectively laughing and cackling in an exaggerated manner,...
Read moreThe manager that runs this property and a couple of her associates are absolutely rude and disrespectful. Noticeably during the early morning hours. Going to the same coffee shop, different times of the day, they seem to be friendlier. One gal, who is the most absolutely disrespectful out of them all, has sort of wavy long hair and round glasses. Looking at the other Google reviews, I believe that she has been negatively mentioned before. The level of disrespect that comes from the manager, that particular gal and a couple of her other associates, is beyond unacceptable. I spend nearly $5,800, sometimes more a year, on coffee from scooters. To be treated so poorly is enough to make my stomach turn . I've reached out to corporate a couple times and not a lot has been done about it. This is the worst scooters location in the nation! I do not recommend. Rapid City has a few. I would take the drive to go to a different location. Avoid this coffee shop!
(Side note, the reason why I ever experienced the manager, was when I simply inquired why sometimes when I purchase the same exact coffee it is $1.50 more than other times. I was simply curious. Rather than explaining, she lost her cool completely and ever since her and a couple of her associates have been so absolutely, terribly disrespectful and rude to me and my family. Including my handicap mother. The experience I have had with the long wavy-haired girl with round glasses is an issue I was an experiencing with the app because the app changed with the update and I needed help and she refused to help me shoved the coffee into my hand out the window and slammed the drive-thru window. I...
Read moreImportant Note: I have had nothing but positive experiences at the Scooter location at Promise Rd.
I have had a few recent upset stomach experiences at this Eglin location which prompted me to write a review. While I have had some positive experiences here in the past, recently Iâve had some negative experiences with their products.
Upset Stomach Issues: For some reason I have had upset stomach issues recently here on two different occasions. I ordered my usual items which included a latte and a dessert on separate occasions and both times I had some stomach issues which caused me sleep deprivation later on those evenings. I donât know why but all I can do is speculate.
Taste Inconsistencies: Sometimes my favorite latte tastes different than usual. For example, my usual latte I often order tastes like it has no flavoring in it and basically just coffee and milk. I have had this happen to me several times which is disappointing.
Drive Thru Customer Service: Sometimes the customer service at the drive thru is less than stellar. I have had very few negative customer service experiences at the drive thru where you can tell by the tone of their voice that they are less than enthused. There have been some occasions where It seems like the person at the other end seems like they prefer no customers. However, when I arrive at the window the customer service seems average and okay.
As a result of my experiences I have decided not to come back to this location anymore, especially due to the upset stomach issues that I experienced here which affected my sleep on...
