This venue is one of those places that must be visited and seen to believe how exceptional it is. This is a members only club that gives you 5 star service with attention to detail in every aspect. The moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and the experience starts. Members get to have a private locker where you can store your own cigars and alcohol. Yes, this is a BYO place, so all you have to pay for is the food and cigars if don't bring your own. Speaking of food they have an amazing chef just for Sushi and a really nice food menu comparable to any high end steakhouse and in some cases better. As a member I was able to bring 3 friends with me to come and enjoy an evening. We started with Sushi/Sashimi which was exceptional. Afterwards we ordered lamb chops, which were some of the best I've ever had. For dinner we decided to share a Tomahawk and a chicken dish. As expected, the Tomahawk was huge, Flinstones style! Fred would have been proud, lol. The chicken dish was very different, flavorful and juicy not dry like in most places. After dinner we went to the other room for smoking cigars. They have two rooms. One where you can eat, and another where you can eat and smoke. I guess this is done so if someone was not interested in smoking, you have access to a smoke-free room. The smoking room is beautifully decorated and has the best ambiance of any cigar club I have been to. I have been to at least 2 dozen difference ones in my travels around the world. They have a good selection of cigars you can chose from and they are kept in a great humidity condition to keep them fresh. The night we went, there was also a live Jazz singer, which definitely added to the ambiance. In closing I'll just say, that this place doesn't feel like it's in NJ. Once you enter and start to enjoy, you feel like you are sitting in a 5 star luxury venue in Dubai or Hong Kong. There is nothing that comes close to Royale on the East Coast!

My husband and I being members for a few months now, we feel this is our go to spot when we want to get away from the hustle bustle of the town and smoke a cigar. The cigar selection is quite extensive and they carry Davidoff, Padron, Astons, Ligas, etc. But being members, we usually just bring our own and keep in our lockers. The cigar lounge is out of like a Mad Men show and quite comfortable. I would call it modern traditional which mixes with suede and leather couches, low lying wood tables with candle lighting to give it a nice ambient feel. The smoke ventilation system has to be one of the best around as the entire room doesn't smoke up at all even if there are 10 - 15 other members smoking at the same time. Bravo! Servers have been trained to the T and know how to make you feel special every time you arrive. By now, we've gotten to know everyone by their names and that is what makes it unique and special. The food is of course another highlight with a huge selection of sushi and an exquisite kitchen menu that boasts scallops, lamb chops, steaks and much more. The club is a BYOB so that is a HUGE plus for us. It's my club!

Full disclosure, I am not a member of LeMalt Royal, I am however a frequent visitor to LeMalt in Colonia, also a very classy place to hang out with regular wine and spirits tastings. I was invited by a friend to LeMalt Royal and obviously accepted (Membership allows you to bring a couple of guests), the décor and vibe was not disappointing with very cool wall décor/figurines and attentive staff (easy on the eyes!). The cigar room was very well ventilated with hardly any smell of cigars! The cigar selection is exceptional and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is also very well cocooned and you don’t get even a hint of cigar vapors escaping from the cigar lounge, a very pleasant supersize. The food was prepared to perfection by Chef Duke (same head chef as LeMalt). An excellent place to escape to and unwind!

Le Malt is second-to-none. Whether for cigars or food the experience is exceptional. The cigar lounge area is elegant and modern, with an ambiance that leaves you thinking this must be located in New York or LA. The ventilation system in the cigar lounge is awesome, the air is clear and crisp, no thick clouds or unbearable smells for non-smokers. The restaurant is even more awesome. The décor is modern yet elegant. The staff is always welcoming, tentative, and friendly, with that personalized service making it much more of a friendship than a staff/customer feel. The food is fantastic, and the chef always clearly puts love into each meal, because they are not serving in high-volume like a traditional restaurant, so the added 'extra love' is noticeable. The Sushi is second-to-none in all of New Jersey. The Sushi Chef sources fresh fish daily and it's incredible! On certain nights they have live performances which adds that extra-special ambiance to the restaurant. Really - all around - an...
