First time at In-N-Out, coincidentally also my last. It was an $11 learning experience .. To start, I was happy to see a simple menu, but apparently there is a whole menu that isn't on the menu... Ordered a Double-Double meal and only wanted a single slice of cheese... Was rang up as a Double-Single. I was given a single patty cheeseburger with double cheese... Guy seemed skeptical when I told him what I ordered but said they could remake it. Had no clue how they could mix that up and apparently neither did her or the 2 young ladies at the counter. I receipt even had a note for the cheese to be between the patties. So got my corrected order. Had wilted iceberg lettuce, more lettuce than all the rest combined. Had 2 slices of cheese that were balled up at the end because they squished one end (in the wrap) of the sandwich pushing the 2 patties and cheese out the other end leaving 1/2 of the sandwich only bread. The fries, they said fresh, they were floppy, soggy with excess oil, and felt like they had been sitting in the basket over the fryer for way too long after being cooked.. not even the little skinny pieces were crispy. Overall, I don't get the hype or understand why there was a huge line in the drive through. I only paid $11 and thought a great deal in California, but now I get why it is so cheap. You get what you pay for. Now I am walking to another place to get something I can actually...
Read moreI'm a major Inn-n-out fan, and one of the things I love about Inn-n-out is the consistency. Overall, I was very satisfied with this Inn-n-out, but there were a couple things that were a little odd. We asked for ketchup to go with our fries, and they gave us at least 20 packets, enough to fill up a sandwich bag, to go with our 3 orders of fries. My sister ordered a chocolate shake, and I had a Neapolitan shake. I liked how the Neapolitan shake had been made so all three flavors were visible from the top, rather than being all mixed together. However, we found both of our shakes had a lot of chocolate syrup collected at the bottom that we had to mix up ourselves.
Coronavirus conditions: We went in late June 2020 and ordered from the drive-through. It did not appear to be open for dine-in. There were very few outside eating tables, so we parked in a distant corner of the parking lot and ate outside our car. Clearly, we were not the only ones who had eaten there, evidenced by the trash can full of...
Read moreFirst time I've ever been to any In-N-Out. The location was a little tricky to get to because there was some construction in the shopping center and the personal parking was mainly being used to support the long drive thru line so it was coned off to direct traffic.
The food was better than most fast food restaurants as it tasted fresh, and it was nice to see through the windows the bags of potatoes for their fresh fries that they used. I got a strawberry shake, and that too felt light and natural for a creamy pleasure. Plus, the price was not too bad on the wallet. I'm not sure if it was "O" prices or company prices. As for the atmosphere, I did notice that with most other In-N-Out establishments, the dining areas are primarily full of youthful souls, a definite hangout for the younger generations, but as mature adults, who really dines in at any fast food place, most of us like the privacy of our cars if we can't make it home?
I'd definitely recommend over McDonald's...
