First of all I want to give one star or zero stars but then again I used to love this place. I don't want to let one bad employee ruin it for everybody else. That being said they would have gotten five stars from me before. I used to go in regularly after work at about 8:00 to get a couple tacos to go. One night I went in, I was the only customer there. While waiting for my food I heard the guys in the back laughing and looking out front while laughing and goofing around (I didn't think much of it). Then I went to eat my taco. Luckily I opened it to put hot sauce on and found a clump of pubic hairs sitting right there on top of the taco. I took it back up to the front counter and the lady up front yelled to the guy in the back (what the hell is your problem? fix his food right now, that is disgusting, all in Spanish. I don't think they knew I understood). The guys all started laughing quietly, again not knowing I could hear them. They fixed my food but I ended up giving it away and have not eaten there since. I do visit their sister location downtown from time to time and their food is great. It has been quite a while but I'm not sure I will ever dine at this...
Read moreI came here with a coworker since we were right next to this Taqueria. It was $11 and change for a burrito and $3 and change for a drink. My coworker and I each purchased chips at $2 each to go along with the salsa bar. We were handed a tiny little cardboard tub that held about 6 chips at a time. I drank my Horchata and refilled my tiny chip tub a couple times. I got my burrito, which was enormous. I ordered a meat burrito, but noticed that into my first couple bites it was a rice and bean burrito with a very light smattering of "meat" here and there. I wasn't going to complain, knowing what the gig is. The "meat" in the burrito was what I would trim from, say, a Chuck Roast, and feed to my dogs. The chips were cool and old. There was maybe 2.5 ounces of "meat" in a two pound bean and rice burrito. Everything was bland. Half the burrito made it's way into the trash can. My coworker ate one and a half of his tacos and a bite or two of his rice and beans and was done. With being a seasoned and well rounded fan of Hispanic food, I was surprised at the hustle and bustle of patrons at this place after trying their food, but each to his own I guess. I'll...
