I ordered a to go order from this tropical smoothie. Upon entering there was someone walking away from the counter who saw me coming in. I stood at the counter waiting to be acknowledged. As I stood there I heard one of the female employees swearing about someone. They were having a long personal conversation. No one came to check the from to see if anyone was there or had entered. I stood there for 5 minutes to see if anyone was going to acknowledge me. Another customer walked in. I assumed maybe they saw that employee and would come forward. No. We stood there another minute. I finally said Hello to get someone’s attention. They stopped and then continued their conversation. No one acknowledged me nor said one moment. I let them converse a bit and then I said hello! A second time. This time the boy yelled “WE COMIN!” Annoyed. I guess for interrupting their conversation. The girl walked up and stared at me. I said I yelled a second time because i didn’t think you heard me. I’ve been standing here for 5 minutes. She didn’t acknowledge what I said and continued to stare. I said I’m here to pick up my order. She asked my name. And handed me my order. I took my order and walked off. She mumbled and I turned and asked was she speaking to me? She ignored me so I asked the customer was he speaking to her. He said yes and at that time I began to walk out. She yelled and said “I said you ain’t have to snatch!” I said I didn’t snatch. She said well that’s what it came off as and rolled her eyes. I asked her name and she ignored me. Her coworker came up front. Nice to know they can collect at confrontation but not when customers are waiting. I asked him their names and he said he didn’t know and that nobody knows each others names “they just be workin.” I said okay. You guys will be closed down soon and I left and called corporate. This is the worst tropical smoothie. I’ve come here before. The employees have been rude the two times I’ve come here. I stopped coming here and started going to playa bowls as they have bigger, better, fresher bowls, better smoothies, and way better customer service. I only came because t-mobile Tuesdays. I should have gone with my first mind and not come here. After reading all the other complaints this seems to be the trend here. Bad customer service and not being acknowledged. Not sure how this place is still open. They need to revamp and clear the employees...
Read moreMy husband went to order smoothies from here with my son, we ordered 3 smoothies at 4pm, first off the lady at the drive through was extremely extremely rude. Secondly I am extremely allergic to bananas so I asked if she could please make the smoothie in a blender that did not have bananas in it previously, she was again extremely rude and told him to pull up to the window. When we got to the window I told her again please make sure the smoothie is made in a blender that did not a banana in it previously she responded and said oh your smoothie doesn’t have banana in it I said I know I’m talking about the blender, she then say if we wash it out now I know for a fact there are step tropical smoothie takes for people who order that has allergies to certain foods then she comes back and tell us that one of the smoothie we ordered they didn’t have so we said ok and order a different one then she say oh if you want to order a different one you have to pull out the drive through and reorder everything all over again cause I can’t take orders at the window mine you we were still waiting to get our other 2 smoothie that they were still making so why would we get out the drive through and re order everything why couldn’t she just change the smoothie since she is the one who is letting us know at the window that they don’t have the smoothie we ordered. Then she shut the window and and walked away. And for this reason I will never ever come to this tropical ever again. This was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful on all levels. Read moreThis particular restaurant location has potential to be better! I've been to this location several times my experience has not been great most of the time. The issue is I ordered a veggie hummus along with a chia boost smoothie! I paid roughly $15 for my order, which isn't bad at all. My concern though is it took 10 to 12 minutes for my chia boost smoothie to be completed and an additional 20 to 25 minutes for my veggie hummus wrap.Basically I was waiting on my take out about 40 minutes. That's too long. Then once my order was ready, no one called my name. At one point after waiting so long I asked one of the workers about my veggie hummus wrap & I was told my order been completed! I've then at this point was given the last of what I ordered and left. I'm a reasonable customer & have a few suggestions I believe will work at this location. There needs to be a manager or supervisor or even maybe a lead worker to assist in customer service at all times. Secondly, retrain the employees on time management, while and after taking and order. Thirdly, have more routine meetings about employee concerns about job dutie, responsibilities & expectations the company want them to accomplish. Fourthly, employees should not be arguing with one another in front of customers! Fifth, All employees should wear hairnets or something form of hair restraints, gloves & maybe consider wearing aprons . Trust me when you do these simple things it changes the customers perception of this restaurant will change in a very positive way. The meetings will employees become more positive and more supportive of each other each shift. Remember to always express teamwork and great customer service.
