This is my favorite viby spot in Redlands! The building is cute and artsy inside and out and kid- friendly. They have coffee, drinks, pastries, and a brunch thing some days.
I like to try the many drinks they have in the fridges and their cranberry and turkey sandwich is very yummy. It tastes like the day after thanksgiving! Iโve had their chai which is good and the lemon poppyseed scone as well.
They have a brunch thing going on in the back on certain days, run by a separate business. Didnโt get to try this as they were sold out of the two items I would have liked.
Olive Avenue has eclectic vibes with various indoor and great outdoor seating all around the building. Out front there is a doggie water bowl and a treat station, nice succulents, and a bike rack. The side of the establishment has a lending library and even a game lending library. They have tables of all sizes for big groups or small. The back courtyard has a little fountain, and the speakers play music out there too. Itโs great spot for parents to have a coffee with other parents and let your kids play in the playhouse. The area is all fenced in and even has a sink for washing hands. A few weeks ago they had an artist painting some of the table tops by hand, canโt wait to see the finished product!
I go to Olive Ave as often as I can to have a coffee date with a friend, feel inspired, or just do some relaxing drawing. They always have something yummy to sip...
ย ย ย Read moreWe all know that this place has a very good, very reasonably priced coffee, but I'm here to praise their sandwiches, scones, and cakes!
If you're craving a more European-style sandwich, which is lighter but packed with flavour and good ingredients, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!
My top 2 are: The Duke (chicken, tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, provolone on a crunchy, NOT soggy, baguette), and Terracina (buffalo mozzarella, sun dried tomato, fresh basil, olive oil and balsamic on herbed focaccia). I am salivating just thinking about those!
If you feel like having something sweet, their cakes (NY cheesecake, carrot, lemon curd, apple) and scones are ah-mazing, too. But THE BEST CAKE EVER is the Boston Cream Pie with layers of white and milk chocolate ganache! ๐ ๐ซ The last time I had something so good was in Paris. A must try!
I know that the sandwiches are made in-house, not sure where the pastries are from, but this place is a must!
Sandwiches sell out fast, so be there before 10am ๐
Service is always top-notch.
Not to sound cheap, but this is worth mentioning: This place will never push you for tips when you're paying. They have a modest jar for tips, and that's all.
At the time of writing this review, they also have a sandwich card promo, where you collect some to get one free.
Highly...
ย ย ย Read moreI love going into Olive Avenue Market! First, I stop at the three beautiful little free libraries that are outside. There are an abundant variety of salads, pastas, sandwiches, etc in the cold case. I love getting the Lavender Twilight drink (it has edible glitter, which I adore staring at). Leslie is kind, warm and wonderful. She remembers me every time I come in! There is filtered water available for customers. Sometimes the lines are long, but the wait is always pleasant at bare minimum. The wait allows you time to think, do I want a delicious scone or tiramasu? Yes, they have tiramasu, along with every imaginable brownie you can think of. Great coffee: check. Wonderful selection of loose bag herbal tea: check. We already know about the treats, but did I mention Chipotle chick peas? They are so good! Olive Avenue Market has inside and outside seating. They regularly have pop ups, food and artisans. I found an amazing carrot seed oil lip balm...
