Our first time trying here tonight. When we walked in the back entrance by the playroom, 90 percent of the tables had dirty dishes on them and were absolutely filthy. One worker sitting in that room playing on his phone. No patrons in this room at all. We figured a huge dinner rush had just left so we decided to continue anyways. The main room by the counters wasn't as filthy, but a good 75 percent of the tables still had dirty dishes. There was only one group of 8 people sitting at one table in the main dining room. There was enough clean tables for us to sit at so we ordered two small pizzas, two salads from the salad bar (something it seems that's going out of style in restaurants post covid), and two drinks.
We ordered our pizzas at 8:07pm according to the time stamp on our receipt. No one else entered the restaurant while we ate our salads and the workers "horse played" (the three kitchen workers tossing flour at eachother, coloring on pizza boxes, "jousting" with broom handles, standing around behaving as if it was a slow night, etc). We finished our salads after about 20 minutes of us arriving. With nothing else to do, I watched all the workers as we were now the only other two people in the restaurant minus the staff. After noticing that no pizzas were coming out of the ovens, we started to question what was taking so long for our number to be called. After 40 minutes at 8:47 we decided to ask how long two smalls pizzas should take to make. The worker thought I was wanting to place an order and told me it would only be 20 minutes as they were slow. So I asked why my two small pizzas had already taken 40 minutes and presented my receipt. She went to investigate what stage my pizzas were at.
Turns out they made our pizza than they put our pizzas in the oven, than left them there to burn until I asked 40 minutes later why I hadn't received my pizzas. After some "blame game" between the workers they automatically got a Manger without me asking for one. The manager did the right thing to make this situation right and automatically offered us a refund and remade our pizzas to take home. This time the pizza took 20 minutes to get to me. When we left, the whole back room still had not been cleaned.
As a manager myself with two decades of management experience, I know exactly why my entire experience tonight was poor and why the restaurant was filthy. It was absolutely due to poor employee management. I had not seen a manager the whole time I was there until there was an upset customer. The workers were allowed to just "hang out". While the manager did an excellent job making things right by me, had management been present on the floor ensuring the workers were actually working, my poor experience would not have happened at all. As this was my first time ever eating here, I'm not sure I will return. If management has this kind of relaxed attitude towards employee management, to allow the workers to not work, and the fact that two small pizzas is just under $40, i'd expect a cleaner restaurant at the minimum. I get mistakes happen and my pizzas were simply forgotten, had they been busy and actually working, I wouldn't have been upset by that. But they wernt actually working. Proper employee management tonight wouldn't have cost the restaurant $40 in free pizza.
Pizza was good. I gave two stars for that fact and the fact that the manager did make things right for me without me having to ask or argue. He did...
Read moreGot there at 1145 pm. Ordered a 6" pizza, had a salad and a drink. We were the only customers in the entire place! 1245 AM I inquired why I still didn't have my order and the staff was goofing off. I was told that they were just starting to make it because there was an earlier ticket from a delivery earlier that day which they made instead. Which one of the employees took and started to eat. I looked over and the kid was slowly putting pepperoni , one slice at a time on the pizza. Beings they were closing in 10 minutes at this point my pizza wouldn't be ready before closing and I didn't want to have to rush my meal. They didn't say anything, didn't apologize. They just let us sit there knowing full well they messed up my order. The manager came to our table, through the money for the amount I paid for the pizza on the table and said "well mistakes happen" (noticed they made me pay me for the drink and wilted day old salad). What a lame excuse. At 1am there was no other place to go and I was an half hour away from home. The only mistake I see is me going there for dinner. The apathy of the staff and the rudeness of the manager will make my first visit there my last. Never even got to try thier pizza. Just drive home hungry. What a joke. They can't handle one table with 2 customers in the entire place the entire time I was there. All they had to do is take my money and make a 6" pizza and all they did was take my money and let me sit there! I guess they haven't figured out how to write the time on thier order tickets like most food related establishments have. Then on top of it the manager giving me cash back when it was paid for on a card and sending me away so they could close ! Never ever will set foot in a place that treats paying customers like an inconvenience and not even offering me an apology or...
Read moreI'm from out of town and found this place near my hotel so I decided to give it a try. I was greeted upon entry by friendly, nice staff but that's about where the positive side of my visit ends. I ordered two medium pizza's and after paying the VERY steep price for them (just over $60 for two medium pizza's. YIKES) I waited patiently in their dinning area which took about 20 minutes to prepare and cook. It was about 4pm so it was after the lunch buffet rush and before any dinner rush so it was rather peaceful while I waited. Looking around I found crumbs still on the tables and on the floor. It looks like the staff took the effort to push in all the chairs but not sweep or wipe down the tables. The pizza buffet area, although shut down since lunch was over, still had crumbs all under the heat lamps. Now for the food. I ordered a hawaiian and a BBQ chicken. The crust, although nice and crispy and not floppy, really could use some seasoning. The hawaiian wasn't bad but I could tell the pineapple was from a cheap can, not sweet pinapple at all. The BBQ chicken on the other hand, well... I couldn't finish it. I ordered it with extra chicken thinking it would be chunks of chicken but was not expecting this ground up chicken product and the BBQ sauce is horrible. Definitely cheap generic store brand BBQ sauce. I hate to be so negative and this might be a good place to bring the kids that can stomach this lower quality but be aware you will be paying big big bucks $$$. I even overheard the staff tell a woman ordering a pitcher of soda that the soda wasn't even refillable. Would I go back, sadly no. I'm glad I tried it as I like to try new things but it's definitely a one...
