Alright, you might think this place is bad from the negative reviews but trust me it isn’t… I’ll be debunking negative reviews. First off we start with Tesh R… “This isn’t my first time at this location. However, the service, or lack there of, could definitely use improvement. As I walked in, kid at the counter, looked at me and another customer as if he was annoyed. This is lunchtime about“ the old manager sucked, the new one had to train us all again. Plus we are very overworked at lunch. Sometimes a bunch of kids come and order like 6 pizzas at once. Tesh R have you made a pizza? Maybe he wasn’t looking at YOU but maybe at the BUNCH OF KIDS.
Second, Sam. “Their hours online and posted on the door say they’re open til 10 pm. I’m here at 9:15 pm and they’re closed. I really wanted pizza and this is extremely disappointing.“ wrong location, we changed our time recently and didn’t put it up yet.
Third, “Waited 40 minutes for a small cheese pizza when they didn’t have any customers - no lunch rush. Pizza tasted like bread sticks. Hardly any cheese and overpriced!! Pronto pizzeria is WAYYYY better and cheaper. They are also in Redwood City. This franchise just has a bunch of kids making the food. Zero customer service. People who don’t know anything about authentic, quality pizza may like this place. Tastes like those $5 little Caesar pre-made pizzas. Tiny portions. Their website lists completely different prices than what they charge. They charge $2.00 more. Just awful.“ Old manager didn’t train well.
Melanie Jorden, “ Bugs flying around pizza and it was greasy. The cook said throw them away to cashier, but why is there nats flying.Thats an indication of garbage and pershiable food not being managed or the cold area is warm where food is being stored. If you eat there, eat pipping hot, again greasy! Upside pleasant people working.” Gnats are attracted to fruit. There is a back door and there is a restaurant kitchen with fruit.
Alex G. “I really want to like this pizza. In theory, it should be really good - they have a nice tasty crunch-yet-chewy crust, good cheese, all that. Then they ruin it by overloading toppings that are too soggy, so you end up with mush instead of pizza. If you do order pizza here, stay away from any toppings that have been packed in water (red peppers, artichokes, etc), and don't bother getting more than two toppings unless you like your pizza to fall apart.“ They’re not kept in water and also you do know red peppers and artichokes get soggy when cooked… Like mushrooms…
Moral of the story is: If you wanna post a negative review...
Read morePoor customer service, poor speed of service, poor accuracy of order. Went here yesterday evening to order takeout. Was told it would take 15 minutes for the food but ended up waiting over 30. Kinda irritated but not too big of a deal if they had got my order right, come to find out they hadnt even put half of my order in the oven yet. I was told it would be about another 8 minutes to make the slices I ordered. So I just asked to have that half refunded to me. No one told me what was going on everyone just kept walking by ignoring me not making eye contact or anything. I waited at least another 15 minutes to get a partial refund which at that point was past the 8 minutes I would have had to wait for my order to be done correctly. They didnt refund the tip or anything so I ended up paying 10 bucks for breadsticks only that normally cost 6.50. Not only that but because I waited so long, they werent even warm anymore. I ended up walking away with half my order that I paid 50% more for and ended up being cold. I also wasted 50 mintues to an hour of my time for this over priced cold food. No one offered any kind of solution or compensation/reimbursement for that either. Honestly I'd like a full refund...
Read morePOV: You are in Redwood City by chance for work and are also a devotee of Pizza, therefore you spend hours everyday researching every Pizza place everywhere you are no matter how good or bad, with an open mind and in this instance... an open heart.
Pizza My Heart is an establishment I always had heard about, as there are many locations - none of which are in San Francisco! Pizza My Heart does not have a San Francisco location, which is sad but acceptable and understandable because when you get a chance to play the role of customer of Pizza My Heart for the first time thinking you'll have other chances only to realizes - they are actually limited... you gain appreciation for this company and want to see them succeed and furthermore wish you had purchased one of their t-shirts as they are one of the only Pizza places I have been to since May 2022, which spans approximately 50 who actually make their own t-shirts and sell them besides Escape from New York Pizza.
One of these days, Pizza My Heart, we will meet again and I will represent you by wearing your shirt when I am other places because you are truly a heartwarming establishment. At least this one...
