West Park Farm and Sea — Restaurant in Redwood City

I'm not a harsh reviewer but I feel kind of insulted by the salad I ordered here. I spent $11.00 on a box full of lettuce. Im not joking. My "boujee" ceasar salad had 2.5 radish slices, 0 chives, and 4 chunks of avocado. The rest was just a mound of lettuce including the butt, like it was poured straight out of a bag, with a little cup of dressing on the side. It's also NOT red romaine. Looks like plain chopped romaine hearts from a grocery store.

Except, the $4 chopped salad kits from Safeway are higher quality.

That said, I also got a steak wrap and that seemed to be okay, tasty enough and good ingredients. The service was pretty good too. But honestly, mixing a salad doesn't require a culinary degree; it's pretty hard to get wrong unless you're being purposefully careless....

This place just opened. The only reason I don't give it 4 stars is due to the extremely long wait (30+ mins) to get food eating-in. Granted we were there at peak lunch hour (12.25), but the staff was clearly prioritizing take out and online orders over eat-ins. We weren't the only ones frustrated with the glacial pace - two other eat-in couples were equally frustrated. These are wraps and salads, the wraps made from kabob-style meat. The food is excellent! I had the fresh baby kale salad with grilled salmon and avocado. The greens were fresh, crisp and lightly dressed to perfection. The toasted pepitas on top added the perfect crunch. Salmon was delicious and moist. The outdoor seating is pleasantly inviting. My wife and I sat out and enjoyed the ambiance. The staff was attentive, polite and helpful. This restaurant is less than 5 min walk from the Redwood City Caltrain station. If you want a nice stop on the way to the city, this is worth your time. Or make an evening of it in the area. We loved it. Plus, the food is healthy...
