Ordered mansaf ($22) and Kibbeh ($10).
Workers are super nice and ambience is good. Location is nice.
However, Mansaf was very disappointing. It has nothing to do with the real mansaf you get overseas in Jordan (lived there for 25 years). The Jameed used is just awful and cheapest quality. Even the Kaseeh liquid one would taste better. I recommend the chef to just use Mediterranean yogurt instead (since seems they can’t get quality jameed).
The meat on mansaf was pretty good though. Cooked to perfection. Right amount of it. And nice cuts.
The kibbeh was cold from inside which was disappointing. The dough has nothing to do with the one u get overseas in the Levant, it was extremely tough and starchy kinda thing. The meat inside lacked proper texture and taste. It was like eating vegan meat (basically it lacked meat taste). Was disappointed.
Overall, nice ambience if u want hookah or tea, but I’d never go...
Read moreTonight, I went here for dine in with my girlfriend. Bad food and creepy service. I really wanted to like this place. I got the falafel plate and samosas, but the hummus was actually old and rancid. I had my girlfriend double check and it definitely was rancid. We were the only customers in the restaurant and there were 4 workers that were inside the restaurant staring at us constantly before and during our meal. They literally did not stop staring even after I looked back at them and it was extremely uncomfortable. They were more focused on us than working. There was no music and you could hear a pin drop, so on top of being stared at, we weren't comfortable to even have a conversation. If any of them see this, please give your customers personal space and check your hummus...
Read moreThe most recent experience I had at Rockin Wraps last week matched every past experience I have had at this great establishment: excellent. I am a regular who has been coming here for several years. I love many items on their menu, and the best items I have enjoyed have been the Beef and Lamb Shawarma, hummus, and any of the other traditional middle eastern and Palestinian food. I have also been a huge fan of their hookah. Their house mix is sublime and they have a good variety of flavors. The ownership is amazing, evidenced by the fact that this great restaurant has been in business for more than 13 years. Rockin Wraps has serious competition in Pasha and other establishments nearby; however, I find it to be the best in terms of overall value and...
