We used to eat at this El Pollo every week or two, but slowly we started going less because for various reasons. We still go when we get coupons and today was that day. We went in to order food to go (I'm a Disabled American Veteran and cannot sit on the hard, wooden furniture) and it didn't go well at all. The cashier took our order without hardly speaking a word and she struggled processing the coupon. No "Welcome", no "Thank You", nothing. It was after 7:00 PM so it wasn't busy except for people eating in the dining area. We got our drinks and waited near the counter for our order. The cashier was the one who called out our order, but I couldn't tell if it was ours because she called it out in SPANISH. I walked right to the counter and asked "what?", looked at the bag and knew it was ours. She never did correctly call the order in English. I grabbed the bag, without a "thank you" of course, and as I turned around to leave I was met by laughter and a few "Gracias' " from the Aholes in the back of the kitchen as we walked out. I just wanted to explode. I am in my late 50's, white, and was wearing a Disabled Veteran hat. The lack of respect I experienced tonight had me enraged. Guaranteed that not only will I NEVER eat there again, I am urging all my veteran friends to boycott ALL El Pollo Loco restaurants.

Read moreHaven't been to an el pollo loco in a few years(California ones)Been to this location twice now and for some reason have been disappointed. Spent almost 20 dollars for a single meal each time and both times the chicken tasted burnt and they fill everything with so much beans that it's almost disgusting. No longer offer you to grab your own salsa and it's 3 bucks just for a guac side. A little ridiculous. Idk if it's just this location or maybe the chain changed it's ways but I remember the California locations were always great, authentic and they let you fill and pick your own salsas. Will not bother with el pollo loco anymore unfortunately. They also have people working there who make you feel rushed, like you can't look at the menu and want you to place an order quickly. Was asked if I was ready 3 times in 1 single minute even tho they saw me checking out the menu. I also watched my burrito sit on top of a condiment container for awhile before being placed in a bag. Just extremely unsatisfied both times here and I wish I didn't...
Read moreFood is always fantastic here!! Customer service and hospitality is not always top notch. I came through today at 11:34am and I order the chicken tacos carbon meal with vitamin water and I ask for 4 extra tacos and Eva O suggests to make 3 of those extra tacos into a meal but I said I dont need another drink just the tacos please and she had an attitude the whole time after with passive aggression towards me as I say thank you with everything from handing my change and my drink and when the food came she basically threw it to me and closed the window but I waited for her to open again and politely asked for green salsa and she gave it to me but still passive aggressively but I said have a nice day and carried on. Idk if Eva was having a bad day but I hope things get better for her and she has great hospitality potential I can see it but just dont let little things...
