7/1/2025 - Wow what a stark difference. Came with my husband and 11 yr old son and sat at a table instead of the sushi bar. Its a Tuesday at 315pm. Service was despicable. Our server left to lunch and didn't even tell us or tell us we needed to talk to another server there. This was all after we ordered food so we sat there for over 30 minutes waiting for our sushi and kids chicken tempura bowl. We finally got our food after asking another seever to check on our server and food. After that, we wanted to order a little more sushi, we tried to give our form (iykyk) to any server who walked by and he chirpped up with "no no. You have to put the form in the number stand", then walked away. You couldn't have just said that and then took the form, waited another 10 just for someone to pick up the form. Just terrible customer service. It got to the point where we just wanted to leave, didn't even ask for our ayce ice cream and decided we may need to start venturing to other sushi places. So disappointed, especially because we have referred several people to this place. May 3, 2025 - still the best, get all you can eat, take a shot, eat some miso, go now! 6/11/24 - I'm from California, and our sushi is outrageously priced. One roll is $13.95 - $18.95 on average. Coming here and paying $9 - $11 a roll to have fresh and tasty sushi is 1000% a win! This place is worth the adventure to stop in. Have been here now 5 or 6 times, and EVERYTIME, it's been good. We literally drive 3.5 hours just to eat sushi here. The casinos are the bonus, and this is the star. We will see you all soon! Update: This past weekend, we visited our favorite sushi spot again. After our last visit quite a while ago where we had a negative experience due to the staff not listening to our request for a la carte and telling us that we couldn't share, then giving us a bill charging for all you can eat, we returned. This time we ordered a la carte at the bar and they gave us circular dishes that we thought were indications that we were sharing and not ordering all you can eat, but, when we receive the bill, they tried to charge us for all you can eat again! Didn't even verify with us beforehand. Is this a scheme to get patrons to pay the higher priced bill without looking? Very big turn off x2. Food was still amazing though....but is it worth people trying to scam us? We love the sushi here, Drive almost 4 hrs just to come here...discouraging at best. Update! 11/10/23: You guys did us right! Sushi amazing, ordered the Tokyo, Hot Bae, the Jazz, M3, and Mickey Mouse. The bill is correct! Staff was excellent! Thank you! Back again 11/24/23 - again AMAZING! M3, Jazz, Mickey Mouse, and the Chao no lemon. IN RENO, THIS IS THR ONLY PLACE TO GO!!! Back again 6/10/24 -- Still the sushi ive ever had...get that Jazz!!!! Tried a new one today....Red Snapper Nigiri. Great experience yet again!

I’ll preface this by saying I did A La Carte and not the all you can eat. I’ve been coming to Reno every year for over 20 years and came here on advice from a friend. Usually my go-to is Sushi Pier in the cost-co parking lot. Tried this place and can say? Not impressed at all. Their unagi, tempura shrimp hand roll (the Polar Bear) and salmon skin hand roll were all served practically cold. It’s obvious they pre-fry everything and not do things made to order. The “Polar Bear” hand roll I had was OVERLOADED with crab mix. Which like? Cool? But it felt like it was hiding the quality of the rest of the roll. I didn’t bother to finish it because the tempura shrimp was soggy and cold. Their nigiri sushi is pretty much just OK. The hamachi was a tad mealy as was the salmon. The rice was very tough and a tad over-sweet. I also got the “Mickey Mouse” nigiri cause I usually don’t do rolls and that’s as American as I get… again the rice was super tough. The flavor profile of the piece was somewhat redeeming but not enough for me to want to finish the second piece. Overall I’m someone who can finish like three hand rolls and at least a 8 piece sashimi appetizer and like 8 nigiri sushi and I barely finished four nigiri and one and a half hand rolls. All in all I won’t be returning here. When I was in Reno a month ago Sushi Pier was far superior and their hamachi sashimi appetizer was beyond delicious. EDITED TO ADD: when I got my bill ($56) I replied that I didn’t finish over half of my food and it was, quite possibly, the worst sushi I’ve had in over the last few years in Reno (cause let’s be real… I don’t remember much past five years.) The response? “Oh. Sorry.” Cool. I have just texted everyone I know to never come here. I suggest you never come here either.

We drop by for sushi buffet on Christmas Eve. It is almost full but we don't need to wait to be seated. When we place the second round of order for a few more items, one roll is missing. We need to ask the waiter for this item. We order three banana ice cream dessert. It is a deep fried banana on top of the ice cream. All three bananas are black inside. They pre pried the banana and put them in fridge for too long. Banana already long gone rotten inside. This is really ugly and we are all afraid if we will have diarrhea afterward. We told the waitress we have 3 adults and 1 child under 10years old when we arriv. However when our check comes, it shows total 4 adults. We ask the restaurant their employee to correct the mistake. A guy comes and asks my daughter her birth year. My daughter answers his question. I also explains my daughter is a few days to her 10 year age. However the guy answers by saying: It still counts. It makes my wife annoyed coz she is still working about the banana ice cream she took. And then the guy asks my wife for our daughter's birth certificate. It is the first time we see a restaurant asks to check birth certificate. Who take their children's birth certificate going out for dinning? Fortunately my wife has a phone of my daughter's student paperwork showing her birthday. This restaurant spoils our Christmas Eve. We keep comforting my wife and trying to make her happy on the way back to our hotel. Anyway, it is our first and last time going to this restaurant.

I was traveling from Idaho to California. I had a room at Motel 6 and was recommended to the restaurant for all you can eat. I ordered what I wanted. I don't like rice much so I didn't eat the rice that came with the nigiri. I was told by the waiter that when you order the "all you can eat" You HAVE to eat the rice and I was told I could not order any more nigiri, unless I ate the rice I left on my plate. After being lectured about what I "HAD" to eat, Every time the waiter walked by my table he turned his head and coughed on me. He did this 8 to 10 times. I was seated at table 16 close to the beverage/billing station, which I was constantly being bumped into and hit in the head and shoulder with various objects as the wait staff go by table 16. There was a couple on table 16-2 and oriental couple and I noticed that the lady dining at that tale was also Not eating her rice either. I noticed that their waiter Never said a word to them about finishing all of her rice or other food they ordered and decided not to eat. 3-days after being subjected to repeatedly being coughed on and my food spit on, I became very sick. A week later and I am still very sick. I missed my family Christmas events due to the wait staff intentionally trying to get customers sick with their contagious by coughing on customers, customers food and spitting on their food. I don't know if it was the waiter spitting on my food or coughing on me repeatedly that made me ill? I will be contacting the Board of Health and the BBB. They get ZERO stars, but I had to leave a rating or my review would not be posted. There are other great sushi restaurant in Reno without being discriminated against and other more professionals that wnt spit on your food and cough all over your food and head while dining and being lectured on what you HAVE to eat. Even though it is an all you can eat menu item. You can NOT order what you want unless you follow the wait staff self imposed rules. Nasty customer DIS-service. Unhealthy, Unsafe environment, Infectious contagious filthy waiter habits intentionally trying to sicken their customers. Oh and the table I was seated at, everytime the waiter walked by me, he managed to hit, bump and shove me. I have long hair and he even pulled a strand of my hair as he walked by. ZERO stars! Find another Sushi restaurant there are plenty in Reno and all of them have better ratings. Also look at yelps ratings with...
