I’ve made a habit of eating here and getting takeaway for several years. Service is always good. Staff friendly.
I will NOT EVER BE PURCHASING FROM THEM AGAIN SOLELY because they run a scam on takeaway food. One person in our party dined in One person got a machaca burrito. THEY BOTH ORDERED THE SAME EXACT ITEM.
The takeaway machaca burrito was literally half the size it normally is. The person ordering it always gets the same thing.
Our friend who dined in and didn’t want to eat in the upstairs airport restaurant laughed at the difference. He said his was at least DOUNLE THEBSIZE of the takeaway burrito.
This is no way to treat loyal customers.
It’s also the job of the staff to check CINSISTENCY.
We are now telling the at least 15 people we’ve told about this spot to never buy from them. Mathis sorry is from easily 19 months ago. They were only ever medium busy. Several in our group of friends have commented how they are noticeably slower no matter what time of day. Seems their cheap trickery is being notice by more than our small...
Read morethe food was alright but the customer service was so wildly unprofessional, from the miserable waitresses giving me and my friend nasty looks for simply existing to the handling of my friend having a question about one of waitress being weird when handling her card and the manager gave us an explanation which we were okay with until they proceeded to have a loud conversation in Spanish with the about us right in front of our faces as we left. I do not care if they assumed that I am not a fluent Spanish speaker but I was insulted by the fact that the manager and heavy set waitress wearing the tight turtleneck/cross necklace combo couldn’t just wait until me and my friend to leave the restaurant to discuss the matter between themselves. Hopefully a restaurant that better represents the culture with dignity and updated decor will occupy a space nearby until then I would suggest the McDonalds on the other side...
Read moreThis restaurant has definitely the best Mexican breakfast options. House-made chorizo, house-made machaca, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos and more. Breakfast ends at 11am so get in here. I went for the machaca.
I love hot dishes. By hot I mean spicy! I tried their salsa and I have to comment. I think they called it salsa mirasol. It took me back to Cuernavaca, cerca de la Ciudad de Mexico. Best salsas I've ever had there. This salsa can definitely be used in red chile tamales plus mixed into the masa to make some great tamales, it was so delicious.
Beans were traditional (save those black beans for the Californians), and the Spanish rice was done right (save that white rice for Asian dishes)
I am visiting from Phoenix and will plan on morning flights...
