I have been here plenty of times. However, it had been a good 9 years since I had a Michael's Deli sandwich until December 12, 2022. We visited the Midtown location. I had a Lenn's sandwich and only finished half; I gave my 13 yo son the other half when I got home. The only thing unusual i noticed was my Dutch crunch bread was MOIST. On the morning of 12/13/22, I got a belly ache and diarrhea and by 9:30pm, I was viciously throwing up, and in some cases projectile vomiting, or dry heaving because I didn't have anything else to expel. Accompanied by the worst stomach muscle cramps. While the vomiting subsided by 12/14/22, I was in pain with the worst stomach sensations until 12/15/22.

I knew I had food poisoning but it was a toss up of what caused it. I was waiting for my son to get sick and see if anyone else got sick to rule out Michael's or virus. Well, lo and behold, on Wednesday 12/14/22, my son who ate the other half of my sandwich experienced the same symptoms. And no one else has experienced any sickness in our house. Was very disappointed and in a lot of pain, especially myself, because of one sanitary overlook at...

My oh my. I cannot say enough good things about Michael's Deli. Every time I come I get excellent service. This is the home of my favorite salad in all of Reno, the sweet passion chicken salad. This dish brings a perfect blend of everything - fresh and crunchy leaves, pear, cranberries, pecans, passion fruit glaze, coconut flakes, and much more. Hands down one of my favorite things in the world. Being that it's a small place in midtown, it's always packed but the servers work quickly. Prices are very reasonable for anything you get. They have wraps, salads, sandwiches, paninis, and a lot more. I haven't run into anything that I don't like. I also see that the staff know their customers well and they treat them like family. The hours are short for this place, so plan to come earlier like in the afternoon. I only wish they had another location! If you haven't yet, get to Michael's Deli now - must I say...

Fast, friendly, and fresh are the first things that come to mind as soon as you walk in the door. So good that if you don't usually Yelp, you got to Yelp this place. My Wife got the chicken caesar salad wrapped in a pita with chicken soup that was loaded with pasta and veggies, I got the Jimmy and the Pete's because I couldn't decide and those are basically my two favorite sandwiches of all time, one was on dutch crunch and the other on a sourdough roll, that sourdough roll was like butta, just perfect, I feel that the dutch crunch was on the dry side and had to order extra Russian dressing for my sandwich, but I'm not complaining, that sauce saved the day and would be so good even on your shoe, we shared rice pudding, expected to be sweet, but it was not, and we got the lemon bar that was delicious and rich. Can't wait...

This place is the greatest! The Strawberry Spinach salad with chicken was outstanding. The mushroom soup blew my mind. I didn't know a soup could have that many mushrooms in it. My husband's Pastrami sandwich was humongous, just filled with meat and came on the swirled Rye bread. The Antipasta salad was incredible. They have lots of veggie options and I just learned they have breakfast. Also at Christmas they sponsor trees where you can buy presents for the kids on the 4th street corridor. I've gone here for years for this but just tried their food. I could eat here every day and never get tired of it!
