Hmm, how to describe Bibo’s. Imagine this little coffee shop, situated not far from UNR (you walk across the street) and off to the right of some train tracks. Small and rustic, the building is painted to look like train car that’s been retrofitted to serve customers. Train car doors adorn the front and slide open every morning to greet the cold and caffeine deprived masses on their way to work or class. Eclectic music blares from inside the café, alerting you to the fact in Bibo’s anything goes as long as you can accept coffee as a middle ground. And that’s what you’ll see inside. Lawyers and other business clad individuals will mingle amongst droves of students and hurried faculty. It’s a melting pot and the key ingredient is that it welcomes you, rather than some hipster, elitist crowd that shuns outsiders. An example, I walked in once and told them not to make my order until we checked to see if I had enough on my debit card (I was near flat broke). The server just looked at me with a cheeky grin and said, “Nah. We got you. We’ll make it work.” The couple behind me then walked up and paid for my drink with enough for me to pay for the person behind me. This is the spirit of Bibo’s, infused in every fiber of the place; from the down to earth crew, the local art on the walls, and college underground flyers always lying about. I guess what I’m saying is that of all the coffee places to spend your money (and I frequent all of them) this is one place you want to spend an early morning with because you won’t be disappointed. Oh yeah, and the coffee’s...

The guy didn't greet us with a hello or hi or any kind of greeting. It was extremely hot in the store so hot infact had to walk out side afew times while he help the customers in front of us. He finally finished up with the customers in front of us. An still didn't not greetings. We were ask what do we want. My husband went first he asked for Rocky road. The rocky road look like warm runny like pudding. Before we even left the store the gelato started to melt. By the time we got to our car that was parked 20 ft away it was all over my husband hands. My husband had to put in a trash bag that was in my car because it was so much of mess. I was disappointed in my pistachio gelato. It had to much spices in it you couldn't taste...
Read moreBibo Coffee Co. is a nice coffee shop nestled on a quiet street on the southern edge of UNR. The building has character and feels like a brick stable house. There is plenty seating inside with three different rooms, each with a different vibe, perfect for studying. There aren't many soft lounging chairs or couches, so plan on sitting on a wooden seat. There is also a nice little patio out front.
The building is not air conditioned, so it can get pretty stuffy inside on a hot day.
The coffee is good and the baristas made my latte well. Roughly $3.50 for a normal hot latte, so the price is pretty good for what you get. One gripe, they capped my cup right away and didn't even attempt any latte art. Not that latte art truly affects the taste of the final product, however a barista that can do it well gives me confidence that they know what...
