I usually frequent the Moana location about once a week & never have problems, even a few times from here before without issue. I was over in that side of town again & figured what the heck, I’ll pick up while I’m over there. My mistake!
Spent about 20 minutes waiting for a cashier (it isn’t his fault) to try to do a process on the POS so I could pay. No manager in the entire store, just what appears to be 3 teenagers, none of which know the process (again, not their fault). Cashier calls the manager, Rose, I believe her name was, she doesn’t answer. He calls again. & again, & again. I suggest they should just call the Moana location to ask how it’s done since they literally do it for me almost every week that I am there, but I was ignored. We all just stand around for a bit before he calls her again. She finally answers, tells him that that store has never done that (manually enter card number without physical card present), problem is, I just did it a few weeks back at this same location with no trouble, not to mention how Moana is able to do it on a WEEKLY basis. It took forever, who knows what she was saying on the phone, but it finally got done. 20 minutes later.
I make a comment about how the manager should be better at their job & should at least be able to walk their employees through a process if they aren’t physically at the store (which btw, I’ve managed multiple restaurants in the past & it has been my understanding that there should ALWAYS be at least one manager in the store at all times for situations such as these, among safety concerns & other reasons), & let me tell you. As soon as I said she was a bad manager, the crew absolutely turned on me & got hostile, starting a scene. I told them multiple times that the issue isn’t on them & that I’m not starting any problems with them, I had been nothing but polite to the employees in-store that whole time, but next thing I know I’m getting yelled at by a bunch of teens, so I grabbed my items & left. I’ve gotta commend them for their loyalty to a subpar manager though.
I’ll just keep going to Moana. At least they’re...
Read moreWalked in at approximately 2:40 Stood at the register until 2:56. In that time there was one guy at the counter working on a pizza, one lady in the back on her cellphone with gloves on, and another lady who looked like a background character in a sitcom, walking back and forth aimlessly. And a single couple on the bench. The guy finished the pizza put it on the pick up rack and just walked around. Didn’t acknowledge me. The lady on The cellphone came up at 2:56 and took my order. Didn’t change gloves while on the phone to register to counter. The guy then took the earlier made pizza off of the pick up rack and handed it to the couple sitting on the bench from before I even walked in, which if it was their pizza why not make it and hand them it directly, why let it sit on that shelf they had been there waiting. While waiting for my pizza a man came in for his phones in order for 3pm pick up, had the receipt on phone and location, lady who still hasn’t changed gloves told them even tho he was charged they didn’t have the order and didn’t bother to really help him. I waited until 3:47 for my 2 pizzas. I did order no mushrooms as I’m a grown man child I know, I will say when I brought it to the counter they were nice enough to pick the mushrooms off, which I could have done. It’s a good thing I’m not allergic just hate the texture… I don’t know if this is a staffing issue and only 1 person can do 1 task or a lazy work ethic issue. I liked Papa Murphys but I don’t know if driving to the N McCarran location is worth it as I will not return...
Read moreI love Papa Murphy's and up until a few months ago, I loved this location. I don't know if it is under new management or not, but things have changed. We have had many orders not made correctly, and of course you don't realize that until your at home. Recently they forgot to make one and because we had ordered so many we didn't realize it until we got home. We checked our receipt and we had been charged. After calling we were told we would get a free pizza when we came to pick it up. Upon picking it we were told that the pizza they forgot to make was the free pizza! I tried to explain that we actually paid for the pizza she was trying to say was free. She then said the free pizza must have already been picked up. I argued no. She went to the back to speak to someone and when she came back she rudely said "we're going to give it to you, but we shouldn't because the girl who said you could have a free pizza was wrong, you were supposed to only get a free side." I couldn't believe she just made me out to be the bad guy. This should not have been about a free pizza at all. I would have actually liked an apology just as much. Papa Murphy was to blame for the mistake and then an uniformed employee gave us the wrong information. This should have been a chance for them to make it right with a customer, instead it just made it worse. There was never an apology, or any indication that she even cared. I really don't know why she works in a customer service position. Time to find a different take and bake...
