We had just walked out of another restaurant because of horrendous service & attitude before we even got a table -
I looked on google maps & saw this location. It was nearby & we are extremely glad we found it. The service was superb. We were greeted with smiles & what can only be genuine appreciation for our coming to their restaurant. The menu had multiple varieties of choices & my wife had to choose which type of shrimp she'd get instead of only having a single option. I was pleased to see Lamb on the menu, Cumin Lamb to be more precise. My wife wanted Wonton Soup since it had been a cold day up on the mountains earlier. We ordered the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. My wife always orders Fried Rice as an extra dish. I selected Pork Hot Buns as an appetizer. (We had left-overs for the hotel.) My wife dropped a hint to one of the servers that it was my birthday. She requested she sing Happy Birthday, but I think it was better that I was brought DESSERT. The total cost was extremely reasonable. Judging from the amount of "pick-ups" & "in house" dining, they are known around the area for good food & service. When you walk in & see families with children, that's a good sign. If we're ever in the area again, we...
Read moreWe stopped in for dinner tonight, and I'm so glad we did. Sorry coach, if you're reading this, Chinese food is a guilty pleasure of mine.
Big menu and a ton of special dishes featured here. Tonight, we ordered their dinner specials: a beef and broccoli, general's chicken, and a Mongolian beef. Each entrée came with a choice of sweet and sour soup or egg drop soup and accompanied by three appetizers; an egg roll, sesame ball, and a chicken wrap. Omg yes, those bites were all so good! I highly recommend it all! All three entrées had great flavor and would order all three again in a heartbeat. We were too stuffed for ice cream, but we did order boba milk tea less sweet, and it was perfect!
Service was just as good as our meal. I believe they were a father son duo. Restaurant had an additional room to the side that was closed off, but where we were seated was perfect, well lit, and clean. Their restrooms were impressive in size, cleanliness, and decor.
This small business restored my faith that restaurants still take pride in food and service. We thank you for the great meal and the superb service. You're our new favorite! We look forward to future visits to try some of your...
Read moreThis was the first (and probably last) time I’ve been here. My boyfriend and I ordered the general’s chicken dinner, sweet and sour pork dinner, and Taro boba. There was way more rice than there was of the entrees. The meat inside both entrees were a bit tough and hard to chew. The sweet and sour pork had huge chunks of vegetables. It was like 60% vegetable and 40% meat. Everything had a weird taste to it. Honestly it tasted as if it had been reheated. Nothing tasted fresh. The taro boba had very little flavor and was very watered down. The boba was hard to chew. The egg flower soup was thick and flavorless. It had a disgusting neon tinge to it and had large chuncks of celery.
I wasn’t going to come here originally but the usual Chinese restaurant I go to was closed and I was persuaded by the good reviews. However, after eating here I learned this place used to be called china east and didn’t have the best reviews. There were no issues with the customer service but I could never bring myself to come back here again because the food was just not good. There are more flavorful, cheaper, options in Reno for Chinese food. (Especially ones that wont give you...
