Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet — Restaurant in Richardson

Food was cold and stale and embaressing. We have been to the Plano location a few times and had a great experience. However this time we were in Richardson and had family in from out of town, we decided to take them there. We were excited but the excitement turned into a big disappointment. We got there at around 7 PM on Friday Aug 30th the place was almost empty with just couple of people. There was no one at front desk. About a minute later the "manager" came and I told him how many people there were (at Plano location you pay upfront) he told me to go right ahead and pay later. We went for the food and it seemed the food was ok, but when we got to the table and started eating, the food (every item) was cold. Even the gravy dish and the bread. We asked them to make some fresh pizza for the kids, they only warmed up tje stale pizza that was already put our hours before which made the pizza hard. The bread was hard like paper. My wife told the manager about the food being cold and his respose was "You came during down time". Why are you open then? I asked for the lamb shanks and they ignored the first time, 20 mins later I ask again and 15 mins later they bring it out. Mean while, instead of replenishing the cold and stale food, they turned up the heat on the buffet warmers. As the dinner crowd rolled in, that is when they started to replenish. We got done eating and I go up to pay and I told the manager about the experience and he said "Well, we warmed it up for you didn't we?" To which I said "yeah after a while when it was too late". He got quiet and then said sorry will not happen next time. Went on to charge me and I had 3 kids of which 1 is under 3 and the other over 3 but only had stale watery pasta and he still went a head and charged full price for all buffet. We were 9 people, 6 adults and 3 kids. Paid $175 for cold stale food. Could have not charged for the other kid that only had watery pasta that they left more then half of what they put in the plate. NOT GOING BACK THERE AGAIN! Oh and the music was too loud, was hard having a conversation with family. This experience was so embarrssing for us because our out of town guests were disappointed and didn't eat much. They kept going back to the buffet to see if they could find something they like that was...

So, I have been coming here for years I mean years. Even when I wasn't supposed to as my diet was ruined here on many occasions. Well as of today I will not come here to eat. They ruined that I will go to Afra. Here is the reason today I Come here it 11:56 am. I go get my food getting it ready put on the table and then go get something to drink. So, I seen there was enough of the rose water to fill my glass. Well as soon as I touched the lever to put in my glass the fountain what ever you call it was not put on there correctly or has slipped and spilled all over the floor and my dress pants and my $66.00 white dress shirt mind you I was upset, because I was going to work. And had an important meeting at 1pm which, because the rose water is all over my shirt. I decided to eat still, because I did not want to waste the food. So, I get to register visibly upset thinking hey maybe they would just even discount the food or think to themselves hey maybe we should ask what happened which people seen what happened. Or said sorry or offer to pay for the cleaning on my shirt. No, not a whimper of nothing. My shirt is ruined that's $66.00 plus they charged me $17.00 for the food. My suit pants as well has a stain as well. So, this place cost me $83.00 to get a plate of food soup and a drink. Mind you it was there fault the juice whatever was not put on the there right. It pisses me off, because how the world is with restaurants customer service is important well they lost a very good customer...I'm doing a review via cell phone can't take a photo of my shirt or add the receipt and it was there fault. I would not have done this review....it totally ruined my day....I've been through a-lot in these last couple months and I have empathy for everyone so when this happens it irks me....As I can see they don't care about reviews because they don't...
