We have had a lackluster experience at this bar. While the food was good and the view is awesome, staying at the Graduate hotel as Hilton Honors members didn't feel worth the price. At this bar we have spent over $120 in food and drinks this whole night, trying to have a good time at the end of our road trip vacation. While service was decent during this stay, I can't help but feel disappointed. We ordered many beers which have all been good and serviced promptly. We ordered some food, which was good and came out on time. However, when asked for a side of ranch, it took over 10 minutes to recieve it and we finished our food by the time it came out. Not a big deal, but the server blamed the cooking staff which I thought was kinda weird, (seeing as they weren't busy and he could've gotten it himself, but what do i know) but again.. not a big deal. Once we closed out our tab and paid over 20% for gratuity, as it was getting close to last call my boyfriend went down to our room and brought up a drink. I was still drinking my beer that I ordered from the bar. With no signs or notices that outside drinks were not allowed, we figured with the amount of money we've paid for the drinks and food, it would be ok to have an outside beverage, especially because we've been drinking our own bottled waters etc the whole time. However our server came over and told us to throw out our drink or take it back to the room. We really aren't ones to complain. But the fact that this hotel charges a luxury price every night while omitting certain things like coffee, microwave, standard bedside outlets, etc.. the fact that we can't bring up a single drink to the outdoor bar (NEAR LAST CALL) after spending $120+ in food and drink there is a bit absurd. We have never had this problem in any Hilton hotel. If you aren't staying at this hotel and simply stopping by for a drink and a view, maybe some grub, then this would be...

Got a 113% tip charged to my $40 tab from the rooftop bar - went back and forth all day calling trying to get through to people & found some very sketchy findings after the alert from my credit card company. I paid for a tab for 3 people so I wasn’t sure the exact total, but the bartender handed me the tablet with a total of $89 and some change with no breakdown so I assumed that was my total (I had nothing to reference as we all each had things). I selected my preset tip selection amount and signed (I obviously did not select 113%), with NO indication they had added some absurd tip amount. I was presented one TOTAL $89 bill & asked to sign and tip on that.
After a day of follow up calls I was given the supervisors email to correct the mistake - no response 4 days later. Still waiting for the disputed claim through my credit card company since I couldn’t get it corrected by the Graduate.
But what was bizarre was during one of my calls all over the hotel trying to get the resolution, the front desk at one point said, ‘oh yea I remember you called yesterday about the incorrect tip on your bill didn’t you’ - which I responded no to..
So this seems to be a frequent occurrence. Bottom line, ask for your full receipt! Just do it. I...
Read moreLoved it. Great views, amazing cocktails, perfect for late spring/early summer w a lovely breeze. Kid friendly, but don't be a jerk- if you are ordering food (for yourself or your kid) rub the two neurons together that it takes to understand how unfair it is to the staff to order food on the balcony - it SUCKS to have to get food to there, (and, shockingly!) even more than it sucks having to go back downstairs to order food. Just be a decent person, order drinks at the bar (like a normal person), and get your food downstairs close to the kitchen.... that way it is still warm when you get it, and you won't sound like a completely entitled dumbass when you complain about how long it took/how cold your food is, when you were too lazy to even try to go downstairs without the burden...
