Honoo Ramen Bar — Restaurant in Richmond

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honoo Ramen is a Game-Changer!

Just visited Honoo Ramen and it instantly became one of my favorite spots in the area. Everything about this place is on point — from the food to the ambiance to the service.

I had the Signature Honoo Tonkotsu Ramen and it was outstanding. The broth was deep and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect chew, and the toppings were fresh and generous. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients.

What really stood out was the attention to detail. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable — they made great recommendations and checked in without being intrusive.

The vibe of the restaurant is modern but comfortable. Clean lines, great lighting, and a relaxed, welcoming feel. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Also, try the appetizers — we had the gyoza and grilled squid, and both were excellent!

Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic, well-executed ramen. Can’t wait...

A newly opened Japanese inspired restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Met with a welcoming smile and seated and shown the menu. The waitress (Iris) took time out explaining the menu. Took our time to choose the food while we enjoyed the drinks. The cocktails were great. I had the curry yakisoba and it was good. Other members of our group all enjoyed the food. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The only “grumble” is there is no menu listing the whisky…. You expect to have a great Japanese whisky after a great meal… we did have the great whisky, but because there was no menu, the waitress was taking photos of the whisky bottles. It was easier just going up to the bar to see what they had and choose the , but a menu would have been great.

It’s only been open a couple of weeks but assume when the word gets out, it’s going to be a lot more busy….. will...

Full disclaimer, this is the second day this restaurant has been open. Google maps says the restaurant opens at 11 AM but they didn't unlock the doors until noon. The employee also didn't invite me in the building to wait instead of standing in the cold. When I was allowed in the vibe was nice and everything was clean. The ramen I ordered came out pretty fast, but the overall flavor was not very good. The portion size was not that big either. Looking at the reviews of others, I noticed they were all posted several months ago by people that have only made a few reviews previously.
