Mom's Siam 2 Restaurant — Restaurant in Richmond

I was in Richmond for work, and I was craving noodles (which isn't uncommon). I googled "thai restaurants," which can be hit-or-miss, but Mom's Siam 2 Restaurant had great reviews. I found their menu online, and I ordered take-out via phone. The restaurant is in such a cool part of town, I loved just getting to drive and explore that area. I walked in, and I was greeted by a very pleasant vibe... I silently kicked myself for getting take-out and not dining there. The employee who processed my order was lovely and helpful. When I finally got back to my hotel to dig-in, I was in authentic Thai food heaven. I had the SomTom (papaya salad), TomYum (soup) and PadSeEw (noodles). I don't remember much after that (food coma), but if I'm ever in Richmond again, I will plan to go...

Worst personal service ever, I ordered a Uber eats order and a plate was missing so I call to the restaurant and the person who answered the phone told me that he was the one who did not put the plate that was missing and he was Apologize for the mistake and I understand that we all have mistakes but he told me that next time I order they will send the one that was missing again so I ordered again and I called again to let them know that they need to send me the plate so now that I call the person who answer the phone Hang up on me and told that I should call Uber not them??? And I’m like what!! If the mistake was from them Not Uber they were the ones that did not send one plate worst customer service!!!! I liked the food that’s why I ordered again.

Delicious Thai food at a modest price. I've been here a few times and have had the chance to try a few dishes from the lunch menu. The food is great, my favorites are the curries and the pao padow with chicken. Definitely worth a try. My only concern (and it's not really their fault, I guess) is that service can be a little slow during the work week lunch rush. Understandably so, it is a "lunch rush". I just hope they manage a way to speed up service for these times and would be an all-star place to enjoy lunch. Considering this, if you're heading here for lunch during work, try to get here a little before the rush to get the best experience.One last thing, try the iced coffee, it's a great way to finish...
