After my travels I now have time to sit down and write this review, let’s get in to it. One of the owners, or the owner (she told us she was) welcomed us and what not… so the first time we bought a pound of barbacoa because we were traveling, and we just like putting our tacos together and I said that we didn’t need onions or cilantro just the meat, tortillas, hot sauce. It was good. So we visited again, and it was to go again. So same lady and same thing said of what we wanted to order.. she welcomed us back ect. .. well she left right after welcoming us, so before we got our order and paid.. another lady came and said “we do not sell it by the pound” and had a mad ugly look on her face (but the nice lady (owner) had no problem) I said “she said yes right in front of you and we bought it like that before” …she was annoyed, so when we got the order the meat was full of chunks of fat and so so greasy (more than normal, I know there is small chunks of fat in barbacoa but some places have minimal to none and drain the grease as best they can, as it should be) and she served it in a portion to go plate, not the cup like before, that lady was so rude and served us that nasty barbacoa on purpose. People are mean for no reason but that is between them and God. And she gave us hard greasy flour tortillas that broke apart when tryin to fold them. Again all on purpose… obviously..because it was not like this the first time and charged us more than...
Read moreOne of my favorite places for tortas! I came here on Wednesday not knowing it’s actually a torta special day, comes with fries and a drink for $10 which is a great deal!! The agua de melon was delicious, overall great food quality and very nice staff! Will come again for sure.
Edit: Came here again 3 weeks later and ordered 2 “torta specials”. Picked up my order and was told that it did not come with a drink? I didn’t make a big deal about it until I got home and had the complete wrong order. Called and told the lady that handed me my food and her excuse was that they were out of bread so they could not make them. Why not tell me that when I called to place my order in the first place instead of wasting my time? I go to the restaurant to get my refund and she tells me the refund would have to wait til tomorrow because I paid with a card which makes absolute no sense, I demanded I wanted my refund right away and she gave me cash instead which she could barely even do and had to ask for cash from other people that were just sitting there that seemed to be her coworkers/family members. Complete waste of my time and will never give this place my business again. Bummed because I really enjoyed the food and customer service prior to this situation but this lady did not handle the situation well and lacked...
Read moreIf you're looking for a Pablo's or Molinas type atmosphere, this probably ain't the place for you. But if you're looking for dope Latino cuisine that's better than Pablo's or Molinas, look no further. I love the dishes here, been dining here for several years. I suggest the street tacos, either el pastor or Pollo. Their salsas that come with the chips are phenomenal too, spicy but flavorful, not spicy just to be spicy. I like to save some for when I order enchiladas and add it to the sauce. Can't go wrong with the quesadilla plate either. Sometimes, your server might not be fluent in English, but that's never been an issue for me as their menu has pictures of each dish, just point and you'll receive. Give Morelias a try and let the flavors of authentic Latino cuisine cure...
