Uncanny Comic and Games is one of the BEST Family Friendly Comic Stores in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. I have been visiting this store over 4 years throughout 3 different location shifts, and this is the best they've ever been.
Joey and Chris are committed to serving the community with their dedicated hard work and family friendly values to accompany all ages who are interested in anything from comics and graphic novels; pop figures, statues, and collectibles; various board games; card games, like Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!: This place has it down.
Though they seem small, their community is vastly widespread. They have people coming from Wharton on a weekly basis to enjoy their time here, and if that doesn't say how much of a great place this is, then I don't know what else does!
All of their employees are very sweet and helpful, and have been great at helping me find things that I didn't even know I had interest in. I have had a positive experience with everyone who has assisted me thus far.
They also host a variety of events, like Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, Magic: The Gathering tournaments, Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments, Board Game Nights, and so much more. This shop has so much to offer for all ages, and it is so great not having to drive to Houston (in traffic) to get anything I've ever needed, right...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at my local game shop today! As a newbie to the Pokémon card scene, I was a little overwhelmed, but Eric and Omar were incredibly helpful. They patiently guided me through the different sets and explained everything I needed to know to expand my collection. They didn't just try to sell me the most expensive items; they listened to what I was looking for and offered personalized recommendations based on my interests. They even hooked me up with advice on building a deck. Their passion for the game was contagious, and they made me feel welcome and excited to learn more. And to top it all off, we shared a laugh about the craziness. I highly recommend this shop to anyone, especially new collectors! Eric and Omar are awesome and truly make the...
Read moreThere are always the comics I'm looking for on their scheduled release date, and there are constant events for holidays as well as major comic series releases (ex. Doomsday Clock). It is also very easy to get a sold out comic through the manager who can order it for you a week after the initial release date and have it shipped to the store for later pick up. On top of this , times for "magic the gathering" card nights are posted on the comic shops Facebook and Instagram. A plus is that customer service is always exceptional when either buying or selling cards and comics alike.(in addition there are also video game tournaments which are also posted on...
