The Beet Box — Restaurant in Richmond

First off yummy! I am obsessed with smoothies and cold juices so I'm always on the hunt for a new, cool, spot to try out when traveling. I found this place on Yelp and added it to my list of "musts " in Richmond, VA.

As soon as my friend and I walked in we were warmly greeted and came to a stand up menu to look at as soon as we entered the door. I like this method better as it shows people where the real line starts, as well as give others the opportunity to look at a menu.

They currently offer a variety of smoothies, 3 types of breakfast toasts, smoothie bowls, shots, as-one, and juices with a create your own option as well. I decided to order the Pink Panther Smoothie with a booster shot of Noble. The smoothie was sweet and delicious and I heard another customer say that their Noble shot tasted like "Christmas" which I totally got.

I also ordered the G.O.A.T. toast wick was toasted perfectly and thick enough to have a soft center, topped with fresh guacamole, everything bagel seasoning, and sliced tomatoes. It was literally the best toast I've had and now I see why avocado toast has become "a thing".

Overall the staff kept a great pace with the customers who were in and out and we also came when it was raining so there were more people on the inside that normal I'm sure.

All in all I would definitely return and try out another toast or juice for sure. It seems like a good meetup spot on the good for small groups (2-3) and is located in a really cute area. The next time you're in Richmond and looking for a healthy breakfast I...

There isn’t enough space for all the things I could say about this place of business! I discovered this colorful black owned establishment on February 1st and as of today I’ve been 5 times! It’s addictive. From the vibe they create with such rich colors, decor, the smiles and chic-fila service to their very diverse staff, down to the music choices when you walk in. This place is a hit. My first three visits I picked up “the beet goes on” smoothie, avocado toast and a sunny days juice for later. A1 is all I can Say. Perfection. The first visit I dropped my smoothie the moment It was handed to me. I offered To buy another one but the staff member Steve refused to allow that. Made me another ASAP with a smile! My third visit I met One of the owners Ashley who seems to be very well known in Richmond and I’ve heard nothing but awesome things. She served me herself with a smile and even allowed me to try the vegan chili. Do yourself a favor and pick some of that up immediately! Life changing. If all vegan food taste like that, I could live that life. My last two visits I’ve had a very sweet bubbly staff member that I’m so sad I cant Remember her name. So I went to try this place after several of my workout buddies recommended it and had let me try some of their orders.

I placed an order online while in workout class... I ordered exactly what my friend had ordered in the morning before class.

I received a call stating that my order couldn’t be completed because toppings or something. I had placed in the notes that I would like beet smoothie but basically in a bowl with just dragon ingredients or something to that nature... which again had been made that morning and previously by my friend as well.

I was perplexed and so was my friend... the young lady said she would check and call me back... she did but again stated that she couldn’t make it.... price was different etc. Money was not an issue and I asked could I just pay the difference... I was informed I could not, an order would need to be canceled and then re rang... as I had already paid... I just said forget it... ate my toast and gave the smoothie away because it’s not what I wanted... so I basically wasted my money.

The back and forth just left a bad taste in my mouth which is unfortunate because I actually looked forward to the experience.
