WOW, just wow. I lived in Los Angeles and have been here for a few years now and I have been disappointed in the lack of truly delicious Mexican food here in Ridgecrest. The place is very clean and you can see all aspects of your food being prepared. They have a drive thru and the staff are friendly and management is involved. I'm happy to say that this place delivers!! I ordered a carne asada burrito and a bowl of menudo praying that it would be good. I wasn't disappointed. Menudo is an aquired taste that back when I drank it was great for curing hangovers to get me back to work with less blehs. The burrito was absolutely delicious full of favor due to a gravy that's included with the steak and the guacamole isn't ready made store bought stuff. My only suggestion is that they improve the salsa bar. The salsas are more liquid than substance, do not have any labels to tell you what they are, the cups don't seal and leak out if not kept perfectly upright and they offer no chips outside of paying for them separately. All in all I think they have a solid foundation to become a staple in the...
Read moreWe have eaten here many times.I personally like the Carne Asada Qesadilla.I have tried the Shrimp Quesadilla and the first time I ate it,it was like heaven. The second time I had it,I think they put tarter sauce on it.I apologize if you dont even have Tarter sauce in your restaurant, but something was really off. I tried a third one,and maybe it is just about how much you like shrimp...and I love Shrimp.I only ate half if my third shrimp quesadilla and 1/4 of my second. We are getting a feel for this restaurant, and it directs our choices. We purchased a carne asada nachos, carnitas torta and a carne asasa quesadilla tonight. I tried the carnitas torta, and my first bite was ok,but it was dry.It seemed like typical restaurant carnitas. It was dry like it was on a grill too long. I would like to say that the Carne Asada Quesadilla have plenty of meat, and that I like they put pico and guac with the meal.Another person in our party likes your Carne Asada Nachos enough ,that they will take them over the place down the street....which...
Read moreThis place is two blocks from my house, so even if it was bad I'd still go there, but it's pretty darn good for Mexican fast food. My personal favorites are the carne asada chips (with pico salsa, guacamole, and sour cream ), and the California style carne asada burrito, which is quite filling as a meal all by itself. Almost all meals come with nice containers of both red and green hot sauce. The one thing you might want to check is to make sure your cheese is melted, especially on the chips-they try to get you your food fast, and because they use real cheese instead of pre-heated cheese "product" (orange convenience store nacho sauce), they sometimes don't get it melted enough before packaging it up. Considerthat this used to be a nasty KFC, it's a big improvement for my...
