I loved this place. First, without question the friendliest, most attentive staff. Second, the food was pretty good. It's diner food, so having the right expectations is essential. This is not some new american fusion place - this is down-home eating. I also got breakfast, which I suspect is their specialty and also something that's much more difficult to mess up. AND, it was GREAT! And HUGE! A meat lover's omelette that really was, like, wow good and also massive. I couldn't finish it. The hash browns were among the best I've had, and super greasy which was both good and bad for me. The biscuit and gravy were fantastic! Really, I could have made a meal out of any one of those things, and combined they were delicious. The coffee was typical diner coffee - weak, and at the moment that was perfect for me. Probably on other days less so. The staff regularly ensured I had everything I needed, including an endless supply of coffee. I had been in the desert, fasting for 4 days and looked like a wild woman. No judgement from any of them. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go...
Read moreI was a breakfast waitress at Kristy's in 1991 until April 1993. I loved working at Kristy's!! I enjoyed working for the owner/manager, Ahmad Kumani (sorry if I misspelled) and all of the wonderful staff members that I worked side by side with every day!! When my ex-husband & I lost everything in a house fire, the family at Kristy's, owner, his family, the staff, so many of our regular customers and really the entire city of Ridgcrest & the Salvation Army were instrumental in our recovery. Their love, caring & support helped to get us through such a devastating time in our lives. I left Krisy's & Ridgecrest in 1993 when my ex-husband and I separated. I have always known Kristy's to put out good food at a reasonable price. Good service is a top priority!! I am so happy to see that they are still doing well. Keep up the good work all!! Oh by the way, my husband Bill & I will be celebrating our 23rd Anniversary this year!! ;) We celebrate 23 together and 21 years married. We were married 2 years to the day that we left Ridgecrest... I still miss you &...
Read moreI recently visited Kristy’s Family Restaurant again with a friend from LA, and we both had an amazing time! Here’s why I’m giving it five stars:
Welcoming Atmosphere: From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles and seated us quickly. Delicious Menu Options: I had the French dip, which was absolutely mouthwatering—tender meat, perfectly toasted bread, and just the right amount of au jus. My friend Ken ordered the burger and fries, and he couldn’t stop raving about how juicy and flavorful the burger was. Attentive Service: Our server checked in on us often and made sure our drinks stayed filled. It felt like everyone there genuinely cared about making our meal a great experience. Family-Friendly Vibe: It’s clear that Kristy’s is a place where families and friends can come together for a tasty, laid-back dining experience. If you’re looking for a spot in town that has fantastic food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, Kristy’s Family Restaurant should be at the top...
