The wife, daughter, and I were strolling around Ridgewood looking for a place to have a nice dinner this Friday evening. We were trying to find our usual Indian food places, but they appeared to have closed and become other different types of restaurants. As we were walking around, my daughter and wife's keen olfactory senses detected the wonderful aroma of Indian cuisine. We stumbled upon Delhi Accent. The owner and host, Shey, warmly greeted us to our table. The decor and setup of the interior of the restaurant is very impressive. The ambiance is very nice, warm, inviting, and comfortable. The music was hip and swanky. The bathroom was nice and clean. Shey and the staff provided very attentive, warm, and excellent service. The food was outstanding. It was not just your usual Indian fare, but they had their own unique dishes and personal touches on their menu. The flavors were awesome and some of the dishes, you can choose the amount of spice/heat. The way they did the spice did not overpower the flavors and the meal was very delicious. We really enjoyed it...from the amuse bouche, appetizers, entrees, to dessert. We ordered a lot of food. Everything was great. Saffron Butter Garlic Crab, Garlic and Thyme Naan, Goat Biryani, Barrah Kabab, etc..etc.. SOOO GOOOOD... Highly recommend the dessert Orange Kulfi..order it, you will love it. You're welcome. Going out to eat in Ridgewood or in North Jersey alot can break the bank, but not here...the prices were extremely reasonable. I grew up in the NJ/NYC area and had much Indian fare in my time..this was definitely top tier. I learned today was the 2nd or 3rd day it was open ever and I was very impressed. A good turnout already for the 2nd or 3rd night..wow. Everything ran like clockwork without skipping a beat. Usually the first week of a restaurant opening, there are hiccups...not here. Shey and the staff were great. We pleasantly definitively found our go to restaurant for a long time and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Shey and...

While there are overlaps in ingredients and technique with Punjabi cuisine, frontier food relies on a delicate mix and ratio of spices unlike the butter and cream-laden dishes of other north Indian foods.

Read moreDelhi accent is an excellent Indian restaurant located in Ridgewood. The food has an authentic taste with an innovative twist! The decor and ambiance inside are also a great touch to the restaurant, making it a perfect date night spot or a place to go with your family. I’ve been here for lunch, dinner, and most recently for brunch. The service is always great and the staff are always so pleasant (shout out to Abhishek). Whether it’s been a dinner date with my sister or dinner with my entire family (including 6 adults and 4 toddlers) we have never had a bad experience. From the adults to the kids, everyone in my family loves this place! Even during Covid, the service and quality of food has remained excellent. All the workers are wearing masks and taking the appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of their guests. The owner Akshay is an awesome guy and knows how to keep his customers happy! He is also very accommodating and will give you the best recommendations. Some of my favorite dishes here are the palak chaat, butter chicken lollipop, chili chicken, and dum lamb biryani! Most recently, we had the naan filled with goat cheese and truffle oil on top- AMAZING!!! You also can’t leave this place without getting their in house made paan masala ice cream for dessert, and this is coming from someone who does not like anything paan flavored! This restaurant is also BYOB and has a liquor store around the corner! If you are reading this review, I highly recommend you...
