Tonight I got the enchilada soup. The consistency was so thin that water would have been an upgrade, and honestly there were about three black beans and not a single piece of chicken in the entire large bowl of soup. They didn’t add the chips like they usually do and to be honest their chips looked like they were stepped on and thrown into my salad (but not in my soup).
It annoyed me that they took my wife’s order then filled two to go orders and then took my order thus splitting me and my wife up. Now looking at my wife 20 feet from me I’m like, I’m coming!….eventually!….hopefully!”
I feel as you are a a soup restaurant you have one job, to make great soup, but you take little care to make sure your product is on point. I took it back and the poor girl was like, “I know;” then put an out of order sign on it or throw it out. Zupas soup is the equivalent of the McDonalds shake machine, “Out of Order!” Then out of all the bread rolls you pick for me you get the burnt one. Redo…, may I please have that not burnt roll as the girl at the resister acts like I’m taking it from her personal roll stash.
Then trying to find one clean table as I walk by the trash cans that are so full you couldn’t even through a single napkin away. I eventually settled on one table and wiped it off myself.
Counter: out of butter, out of crackers, out of salt/pepper. …Sigh…
Note: the girl doing soup was great and kind. She replaced my soup with a different one quickly and...
Read moreI used to really like Zupas but over the last 3 or 4 times I have been there I have noticed how unaccommodating they really are.
They don't write down or print your order when you tell them, I have a family of six so we each take our turn telling them what we want to order, they make the food in a really disorganized fashion and place sandwiches and soups in random places then ask me what we ordered again while they type in into the register, so now i have to gather up my family who are still waiting for food to be made and ask everyone what they ordered all over again. That is when they often get everything wrong, forgetting items, shove all the food onto trays randomly, and we get to play the guessing game of what everything is.
Also they have chicken tenders but not ketchup? Like you are too fine of an establishment for ketchup but plastic forks are fine? And yes we are talking about a community tub of plastic utensils that everyone gets to reach their hands into while grabbing a spoon. Do you like buggers and fecal material on your spoon? Then oh boy Zupas is the place for you.
They also ask for a tip at the register, and I mentioned I would just leave cash at the table. The girl told me they don't accept cash tips because they can't split it evenly. The tip should be for whoever is bussing the table then.
I would have given 1 star but the food is okay although overpriced so 2...
Read moreMy wife and I started to be regular customers, but the quality and quantity of product has turned in to a rip-off. We found if we order on line for pick up, the price is staggeringly higher than what we would pay in store. I printed off my order and took it in, ordered, and showed them at the register and asked why my $26 order is $38 if ordered on line. The young man today looked at my sheet and told me he didn't know why but did admit they're pricing is always "screwed up." Secondly, when we ordered our "to go" items, the kid with the bad haircut making the salad gave us about HALF what we usually get for a half salad when we stay! The girl that gave us our measly serving of soup filled the cup half full! This place is going downhill FAST and we are very disturbed with the scant servings we got for $26. We've noticed that management skills and quality have been on a steep decline since we started going there. We used to manage a restaurant years ago so we know bad management when we see it. We've learned that we don't really get our money's worth here and quality is definitely better elsewhere. At Denny's we can get a salad FOUR times the size of Zupa's largest salad for the same price we get at Zupa's and the quality is strikingly better. From the other negative reviews we see on this location, the management "doesn't get it." They've lost more...
