Great place. Only had a few waiters that were not attentive.
EDIT: YEARS later! I am now editing this review from a 5 star to a 3 star at the Chilis in Roanoke Texas. This might be in part due to the Covid-19 problems that have been occurring at several restaurants but it just doesn't feel like it. We had been going to this Chilis for several years. We live nearby, so we have been going since it opened. We would go about 3 times a month. We use to have great service. However, after today, I will have to give it much thought. My son and I arrived and it took us about 10 minutes to even be noticed standing alone by the front door. We let that slide and chalked it up to they were limited on staff. We were finally noticed and the hostess seemed uninterested and greeted us less than casual. After we were seated, it took an additional 10 minutes to get drinks. Once again let it slide. We ordered our beverages. Not any mention on how to get the menu. I guess everyone is suppose to be use to the "scanner menu" these days? I finally found a bar code by myself and thought the menu would pop up. Nope, it took me to a whole registration site to which I had to give some personal information including my cell phone to even be allowed to look at the menu? Wow, I didn't realize I had to provide such information to even get a menu. Entered it in and then was offered no assistance after our drinks came to even get a "free bowl of chips" from my cell phone reward since I signed up. Nope went straight to the order. I guess we are not getting chips. Disappointing to say the least. We had always had chips brought to the table in record time in the past. Oh well, we order and it takes about 20 minutes to get food (not a big deal). The food seemed sub par from what I always remembered. Never saw our waitress again until end of meal to which I had to wait another 20 minutes to figure out the pay system on the scanner on the table. Still tipped 20% as I always do, unless the waitress was rude. Waitress was never rude, they just seemed understaffed, perhaps due to Covid. No idea, but bad experience over all. Would not recommend until after the Election perhaps in...
Read moreUpdate. Back to one Star. I knew it was going to be a problem when they sat us in the bar. Music was blaring so loud I could hear the speaker static. We were ignored. And ignored. 3 ppl came in right before us were served drinks. Then food. Not one word from anyone in the bar to take even our drink order. I looked over and the 1 bartender was belly up to the bar flirting with an elderly obviously tipsy customer. Did not look up or change positions for 5 min. When she moved she did not come to help us. Did not look our way. Tried to get the attention of anyone else to help us. Could not. Migraine now. Thanks chilis. It’ll be 3 days before I can recover from not eating in your restaurant. Combination of hunger, speaker static, and blaring bad music did me in. We left angrily. No one noticed. No one cared. Only reason we ever came back to this hot or miss dying restaurant was because they are next to where we get our car maintenance done. We are having lunch now at Wendy’s. Will continue to walk right by Chilis and walk that extra quarter mile from now on. To avoid the frustration of your restaurant. Very bad job Chilis. Corporate Customer Service showed concern for an unfortunate and repetitive issue of being over charged on 3 for me and lunch specials. The atmosphere is good, the food is as good as ever, just be careful here and at the Chili's Alliance that when you order a multi-course meal that the server doesn't charge for items that should be included. These deals are incredible values, we like to say less than our favorite Whataburger combo, so be careful you aren't overcharged. AND if you are taking advantage of one of these specials, be a decent human being and tip a good percentage. It's wait service, not fast food. Maybe the servers are tired of cheapskates skimping on the tip? IDK why but hopefully corporate will get this straightened out without...
Read moreToday I phoned my take out order today,my wife stopped to pick up as she drive by Chili's every day durring the week. Today the girl who took my order told me that I could only pay with the app. My wife forgot her card this morning so I asked it they could take my payment over the phone was told no twice. I requested to speak with the manager Alicia she was accommodating and took my payment. My wife waited while I got this done. Once my wife was brought the food after calling back to ask if it was ready it was cold there were no utensils no ice in my sweet tea and terrible portions for 37.00 Alicia told me that I need to be a preferred customer or something like that to expect free plastic utinsils. I thought we always got decent service in rhe past but this time was the absolute worst experience at this peticlulair location. I told Alicia that I will never ever return and that I will let anyone who asks or says they are going to eat there to save your money and time. Basically she said I am sorry and said nothing else. I asked for their corporate phone # and was given a number. I have not called yet as I am incensed. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, treat others as you would like to be treated. The young lady taking my original phone order was not helpful in the least she is lucky I did not post her name because she is under the manager who is ultimately responsible for poorly trained workers. I am sure there are some great workers there so this is not on them. As a district manager for my company I am aware of the trust I have with the people and the community who pay my salary and this would be unacceptable to an extent. I will not bother them again and will take my...
