Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Roanoke

We walk in to the cashier leaning on her elbows on the counter. The other cashier greeted us is a monotone 'welcome to cici's'. The other did stand up because she had to punch on our order. I cheerfully said 2 and 2 (meaning 2 adult meals, 2 drinks) then I cheerfully said if you know what I mean. She did not speak but punched in some stuff and sat down 2 paper to-go cups. Still no words. Not even a grunt. I cheerfully said thank you but still did not get an audible response. I think she may have grimaced. Food is okay and the fact there were only 2 choices of pizzas (neither of which I liked) were on the service bar is probably due to the large hungry crowd and they just couldn't keep up with the mounds of food the patrons were eating. Drink area was messy and ice, soda and whatever other liquids all over the place. I particularly like it when they park the clean up cart right at your table to clean the one across from you. Cici’s rules!! I grew up eating at this place. I took a group of 7 kids here recently and everyone loved it! The pizza was really good, especially the BBQ chicken pizza. The pizza tasted just like I remember, the only thing is they have improved their logo. The kiddos asked when I can bring them back! Service has always been spectacular. On the visit I brought the children, a couple employees took the time to chat with us and have a conversation with me. They asked me if I was their coach and gave suggestions on which pizza to try. The employees got a big laugh out of me playing with the children! I was racing them to the treat bar, we were making race car noises and doing child-like stuff. One of the employees told me “You’re a kid too, you’re just bigger than they are.” and they told me it makes them feel happy to see me playing with them. Made me feel really happy to hear them say that! This Roanoke location is amazing and I hope they continue doing such a good job. OKAY, I went back to this particular Cicis pizza last week AND there was a huge difference and everything I mentioned before that was bad was CORRECTED and everything was AWESOME! THANKS management! I WILL be back! My old review below but it did help to make everything better! I was there last week and there wasn't any air conditioning (fixed) and when back today, still NO air conditioning(fixed) Also, they never have enough salad dressing other than lots of Ranch flavor, (fixed) The pizza tasted different today than before, (fixed) and the Cinnamon rolls were horrible, (fixed) which usually they're good. The men's restroom urinal did not flush, (fixed) and the bathroom wasn't cleaned, (fixed). They used to play good music even mixed in some contemporary Christian music, (fixed) During that time, I enjoy that place and the food was delicious.
