We arrived earlier this morning at around 12pm and was very excited to try the buffet afrer seeing mostly positive reviews.
After going we decided write a review on our experience. First we were going to give a one star rating but decided to give it an extra star for the staff. They were very nice and attentive and even helped us open the disgusting tasting crawfish. Staff 8/10
Food was utterly disgusting not worth 12 dollars a person. The sushi tasted bad and some had a creamy cheese that was almost impossible to consume. The cheesesteak tasted like/was covered in grease, a great dipiction of american cusine, but was absolutely horrible after a couple of bites. The bourboun chicken tasted like it was engulfed in aunt jemima syrup. Most of the seafood tasted like imitated fish and was really gross. Cocunut chicken should be at the desert bar since it was coated in sugary syrup with a hint of coconut, it tasted fine at first but after more than one bite it felt like my blood sugar rose significantly. The mussel was so gross and looked like coughed up phlegm and trying it made me throw it up into a napkins as was were most of my food ended up going. Overall the food was 1/10 because even after everything at least the noodles and rice tasted quite good.
Next is dessert, the Chinese donut was very good and warm it actually gave us high hopes for the dessert section. Then came the pudding, such a cool delight after the warm donut. But then we tried a graham cracker pudding with on top was a whipped cream that had the consistency of cottage cheese it was absolutely horrendous don't let its looks deceive you it tasted so so sour. Then we tried the pineapple cake with old shriveled up pineapples on it needless to say it was too dry to eat it was so dry i had to drink large amounts of my water to sooth my burning dried up throat from this obscenity which i couldent because my water never once was refilled. After trying the fruit which was ok we tried the rice crispy treat with hopes it would save the experience for us however the bottem of it was moist and soggy far too discusting to touch or worse eat but we did and i regret it. The only other time we saw our waitress was when she gave us our bill and a fortune cookie which we opend and stuffed the fortune into a dried out crumbling flakey pastry for the resturant to have because they need a good fortune way more than we do. Overall dessert was 3/10 for donut fruit and pudding.
The water however was the best part but unfortunately they didn't refill it. In conclusion this place is terrible, would not recommend. We left still hungry and...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem at Crossroads Mall — Delicious, Affordable Hibachi!
I just have to take a moment to rave about one of my absolute favorite places to eat — Hibachi at Crossroads Mall. If you haven’t tried it yet, you are seriously missing out on one of the best-kept secrets in town for incredible hibachi at a price that honestly can’t be beat.
I’ve been a long-time customer of hibachi spots like Kabuki, and while I still enjoy dining there occasionally, I have to be real — the price difference is major. At Kabuki, I usually walk out spending upwards of $25–$30 for a full hibachi meal. But here at Hibachi in the Crossroads Mall, I get the same quality food, freshly made to order, for just $9 at takeout! It’s a total game-changer, especially for those of us who love good food but are trying to be smart with our budgets.
What really sets this place apart isn’t just the price though — it’s the experience and the people. Even though it’s a food court setting, they make your food fresh, right in front of you. You can watch the cook as he prepares your meal with care, skill, and the same flair you’d expect at a more expensive sit-down hibachi restaurant. The cook is so sweet and always has a kind, respectful attitude. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in every bite.
The customer service here is also outstanding. There are two managers I see regularly — Andy, who is always super professional and friendly, and another gentleman who seems to be there every time I visit. I love them both! They treat you like family and always go the extra mile to make sure everything is right. It’s that kind of consistency and warmth that keeps me coming back time and time again.
And here’s a little reminder: don’t forget to tip the cook! Just because it’s affordable and in a mall doesn’t mean these folks don’t deserve your appreciation. They work hard, and honestly, they’re delivering restaurant-quality food at fast food prices — that alone deserves a thank-you.
The food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. My go-to is the chicken hibachi with fried rice and vegetables, but they have a good variety and everything I’ve tried so far has been top-notch. You really can’t go wrong here.
Whether you're grabbing lunch while shopping or picking up dinner to go, Hibachi at Crossroads Mall is worth the stop every single time. Affordable, delicious, and made by a crew that truly cares about their customers.
I seriously can’t recommend this place enough — thank you Andy, the other manager, the amazing cook, and the whole team for making every visit such a...
Read moreI came here to celebrate the 2020 new year. I've sat there eating & digesting in between my meals as I watch people come & go. The waitress that seated me was the same that served the others around me. As they get ready to leave, the waitress would give them a complimentary fortune cookie. I've sat for several hours watching this going on & when I got down to my desert......my waitress never gave me my complimentary fortune cookie like she was supposed to like she had done for everyone else. It doesn't matter if you're eating alone or if it's family/ friends, it's their policy that they are suppose to give you a complimentary fortune cookie before you go. You don't ask for one, they give them to you on their part of their job. But what did they do........they over look me like I'm some sort of ghost & see what kind of reaction they can get out of me. I watched as 2 of the female waitresses were a little distance off from me standing from where you come in at & they were looking at me & giggling which I knew they were talking about not wanting to give me a complimentary fortune cookie even though they were passing them out to everyone else. Oh, their food is good but their service about the fortune cookie issue sucks. So, don't ever go to Hibachi Grill alone to eat or they'll pass you up in not giving you a complimentary fortune cookie. They only give them out to a group family/ friends. This really made my 2020 new year suck for a celebration. If I eat here again next year & they do this same thing, they don't get no tip from me cuz I didn't receive a complimentary fortune cookie from them. Then I'll give them a little giggle when they don't see no money on my table I ate at. I'm not very happy about this...
