I am very picky when it comes to breakfast. It has to stand out for me to purchase it. This fantastic little gem of a place stood out to me and currently happens to be my favorite breakfast spot in Roanoke. The name fits perfectly when you are holding their light, buttery crumbly biscuit in your hands. It holds itself together so delicately just enough for you to experience its yummy goodness. There are a variety of biscuits to choose from and the toppings are all freshly made. Their cinnamon rolls and mocha frappe knocks Cinnabon out of the park! Their rolls are soft with gooey crunch in all the right places. There’s a hint of apple like caramelization going on. They are topped with a light fluffy whipped cream that seems cream cheese infused. It’s so good I could eat it on its own. Their mocha frappe is worth every penny and happens to be the best mocha frappe I have ever experienced. The shop is small with a very small eat in dining room and 1 hour parking between 8-5 outside the door is limited. I’ve been told your vehicle will be towed if parking in the lot next door. The food is worth it though and customer service has been so friendly each time we have been there....
Read moreI got biscuits & a cinnamon roll that my husband & I split almost every day of our vacation two weeks ago. Service was quick and friendly, the cinnamon roll is the BEST I've ever had, and the prices can't be beat. We knew they weren't open on the weekends, so we went elsewhere on those days, but when we ended up unexpectedly staying an extra day and eagerly stopped by on the Monday morning of our departure (September 25) to get one last cinnamon roll, the store was closed. There was no note on the door, and their web site said they were open. Phone calls never went to any sort of voice mail. We stopped back by several times that morning, but it never opened. From other reviews, it sounds like this is not the first time this has happened, so I wouldn't necessarily count on them being open all the time. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars. To the owners: please put notes on your windows if you're not going to be there and update your web site accordingly. Your food is SOOO good that it can be a big disappointment if a customer stops by and you're closed without any...
Read moreOn vacation for the first time in Roanoke. We googled places around where we are staying in downtown Roanoke and the cinnamon roll caught our eyes. We made sure to pop in first thing Saturday morning and got 2 biscuits and 2 cinnamon rolls. It reminds me of a diner all the locals at ate in the small town I grew up in. Bacon cooked perfectly. Egg and cheese on the lightly salted, fluffy and also crispy biscuit. It wasn’t dry at all. The cinnamon roll and the icing were sooo rich my god. And 2 sandwiches, 2 cinnamon rolls were less than $20!! I’d honestly be a threat to eat here like daily if I lived here. The staff were super nice and it got done so...
