I have been here for two years, and I'm flabbergasted by the number of companies that have tried to screw me over. I understand there are companies with no Morales everywhere you go. But the number of unscrupulous companies in the little city of Salem is amazing. I am going to post every episode I had, one at a time. Two issues that bother me the most. At least one of these companies cater to the elderly in their time of need. The other is taking advantage of those that are not up to speed with the issue at hand. In this post, I am talking about Refined Jewels. There are two issues but, I am going to cover one for now. The other is being reviewed with my attorney. Yes, that bad. After reading the issue below, like me, you would wonder how worse the other issue can be. I understand this is my perception concerning the issues and they are more than welcome to respond. I would be amazed since they have neglected to respond to me concerning the issues. And this took place two plus months ago. I know some on here have a repo ire with Refined Jewels, just know, I told Jason and Katharine, the owners I would be posting my experience with the public. I must be totally pissed to write a negative review. I have better things to do. But after many attempts to communicate with them, times up. They were put on notice I was going to post a review here and on every social outlet available. This issue and the next issue to be posted chap my a$$ because they were financial loses. And everything below was said to Jason [personally as well as Katharine. I have documentation to back up everything stated.

Here is my story.

Disappointing is being generous. Jason is so unprofessional. Disingenuous at best. He has an issue with time management and communication. I was astonished by his lack of respect and concern for others. There are two issues I have; one is not needed here and the other has to do with shoddy workmanship and failure to follow up and repair/replace a ring and gemstone Refined Jewels damaged. I was dumbfounded to see what they had done. The ring has four prongs which were to be raised so the gemstone sat in the first band below the prongs. I wanted the gemstone to sit higher so it would catch more light. It was a gorgeous Neon Blue gemstone. The fire was on par if not more than a diamond. I took the ring home and was in total disbelief at what I saw. The ring was practically deformed and disgusting. It was covered in some type of grease with black debris all over it. The bands looked as if they took a chisel and pried the bands below the prongs. They did not raise the prongs at all. They stretched the bands and jammed the gemstone down below the ring where it protruded into the finger. Not only did they deform the ring, but they also left some type of black junk that after a few hours of trying to clean the ring of the grease and debris, I finally put it in a professional cleaner. The ring and gemstone looked much better, but the black junk was still there. And, to top it off, the prongs that were not raised, were not even bent over the gemstone. Also, the gemstone was set crooked. One last issue, look at the picture of the ring set back a little with the stone set crooked, look close to the top left of the gemstone, they even damaged it. This is, or was, a VVS Master Cut 3.65ct gorgeous Neon Blue Zircon. I know, I could not believe it either. I have attached pictures for your review. I went in to see Jason at the recommendation of a friend. I had a lot of gold to sell that I had inherited from my mother, my father, and my aunt. I didn’t expect to find such a wonderful selection of antique and vintage pieces. By the time all was said and done, I sold some things, and I bought some things. Jason was able to size a Victorian piece for me and make it look perfect. He also reset a cabochon Ruby for me in a gorgeous setting.
