Great small bar to have an excellent cocktail and great food.
Stopped by for a drink and small bites. Have not been here before, pleasantly surprised.
Atmosphere Very small inside, but a cozy feel. Full bar, and small tables, perfect for couples or small groups. Sat at the bar, ordered drinks and appetizers. The food is the same menu from Fortunato need door, a very good Italian kitchen and Neapolitan pizza restaurant. That was packed (Friday at 7pm), so if you don’t have reservations, this gets you the same.
Service Outstanding! The young woman who was tending bar was excellent…knew everything about the menu, and was attentive yet not intrusive. Best part was when I asked is she could make a traditional daiquiri (shaken, neat in a coupe glass). This is a sticky point at most bars these days as most often the bartenders have no idea how to make something like this, even though it’s been around for years. However she said it was a favorite of hers, and served me a perfectly made, delicious daiquiri. Also made my wife an excellent old fashioned…well done!
Food We ordered a couple antipasti off the menu, Lamb meatballs and Formaggi, both were amazing. The meatballs were delicious, spiced perfectly, in a tasty marinara and cheese sauce. The Formaggi was also delicious, 3 small cheese varieties, with bread, artichokes, and an amazing Mostarda, which is similar to a chutney but made with fruit, in this case we were informed, strawberries. Outstanding flavor to all our food, and the two appetizers were perfect for a light meal.
Only very small down for us was the music was a bit loud, and sometimes a little too frantic. Yes, sigh…we are older, and always are aware of loud music! It wasn’t overwhelming, or we would have not stayed, but that would be our only small critique.
Very much enjoyed our visit!
Would I go back…absolutely Would I...
Read moreHalf of our party had already taken a seat when the rest walked in and hostess on site told us we could not hold spots if the rest of the party was not present since others had been waiting in line.. understandable I suppose and they proceeded to give our table of 4 to a party of 2....after we stood up from said table and stood by the wall we got drinks, my drink was good but messy, alcohol all over the cup and i had to wipe it down myself,my friends drinks were mediocre at best. Our party sat by the wall thinking we would be able to get a table soon since we had been there for a period of time until we realized that our original table was being taken by customers that had just showed up and waited for a short period of time, I proceeded to ask the hostess if we would be able to get a table soon since we had been waiting a while and she stated that we would not be receiving a table since the latest party had been waiting, I asked to clarify if they had been waiting longer than our party and she repeated herself and deflected the question I once again proceeded to repeat myself and asked if said party had been waiting longer than us and she stated that they had not but that since we had already been let in that we would not be receiving table. COMPLETELY understand she is just doing her job but customer service for paying and waiting customers is quite neglectful no matter what policies this establishment may uphold, definitely would not...
Read moreWent to try Stellina out for my 30th birthday. My husband and I just had a baby, so we really don’t get out often and we wanted to make my night special. We were a group of 4 people total. When our group walked in, we found 4 open barstools; however, before we could sit down and get settled, the bartender shouts over to us that “the bar was full and that she couldn’t serve us.” All 4 of us (who have lived in bigger cities and experienced bars that have been busier) looked at each other in confusion, and that’s when the bartender continued with, “you can try to come back later.” That’s when we realized she was serious and left the bar laughing out loud in complete shock that someone with open space at their bar had the audacity to tell us that they were too full to serve us. Never in my life have I ever experienced service...
