Placed an online order and was given an estimated pick up time only. Went at at the pick up time and was told it would "just be a sec" for my food to be done. One girl cooking food and one boy making drinks but was not busy. Thinking that it would be "just a sec" I said that was fine. As I stood there and continued to wait I noticed there was a lot of food orders and the boy kept asking the girl if she needed help to which she rudely told him no every time. It wasnt until after I had stood there for about five minutes that I got a text from Little Green Hive that my order was confirmed. I guess that meant she finally accepted my online order and had only just begun making it. I wish I had canceled the order all together. She was hateful to her coworker and the food was not even close to being good. I ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich that is advertised online being served on a bagel. I got a sandwich on flimsy sourdough bread I think with what looked like dried up microwaved egg and hard cheese with paper thin barely there bacon. The Chorizo, egg and cheese burrito was also very subpar. Super thin pita pressed flat on a panni press with little flavor at all. I had always heard great things about Little Green Hive but todays visit does not make me want to...
Read moreI visited The Little Green Hive in Downtown Roanoke for the first time 2 weeks ago. I ordered a club sandwich, which included bacon. When I took my first bite I couldn't believe I had swallowed raw bacon. I sent a message to the manager, and when I finally heard back from her after a second message, I was told the bacon was purchased from an outside source and precooked and heated up. I told her I spent $12 and couldn't eat the sandwich, which went in the garbage. I asked very nicely for a credit or gift card, so I could give them a other try. I was told that neither could be offered. I was shocked that a restaurant manager would not try and appease a customer and argue the fact that the bacon wasn't raw when I witnessed it. I was already home when I discovered it, otherwise I would have taken the sandwich back. I would have most likely gotten ill if I would have consumed "raw pieces of fat." Needless to say, I'll not ever return to the downtown...
Read moreIt’s good, consistent w quality and prices of the other locations. Should be noted if you’re a dingbat like me that this coffee shop is located INSIDE the marketplace thing. I didn’t know that and kept looking for it.
This is def a place for coffee and not so much food. The bagel had microwaved eggs and cheese. Which is understandable considering they’re busy but should be noted
update: the skinny dirty-blonde hair girl is VERY rude! Sorry but her customer service skills are a -100/10. I saw the way she treated another customer who was asking a simple question. She was acting like her job is the most painstaking thing on earth. I hate to break it to you, but a lot of jobs are hard girl! Yikes.. The other woman working was...
