Davidsons is a wonderful department store my late mother-in-love Wanda W. had been shopping there for many years for her son Devin. The customer service experience that We’ve had the few times I’ve shopped at this location/ prev Tanglewood location with my husband has been outstanding. However; recently my mother-in-love Wanda passed away I wanted to get my husband a gift for Father’s Day for him from his mom because if she was still here that’s what she would do it and she’d come to Davidsons. I would like to thank Mr. Larry Davidson and the other associates, for being so kind and helping me pick a gift to surprise my husband Devin with as this has been an extremely difficult time for us. While in Roanoke for my father in laws memorial service, my husband realized he had forgotten a button down shirt for his suit. He ended up at Davidsons looking to buy something quickly. The store was not even open yet but Mr. Davidson opened up for my husband and my son (who didn’t have a belt) to purchase what they needed. He took care and time with them both at a difficult time and eased their stress level. After they left, Mr. Davidson then realized my husband needed collar stays and personally drove to the funeral home to hand deliver them. Not only were the items purchased fantastic quality, the customer service was beyond impeccable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Kudos to an owner who realizes the importance of his customers. Kudos to Davidsons and specifically Amber for helping me select and purchase a new suit on extremely short notice for an anticipated funeral. Making matters more difficult, the funeral was scheduled sooner than I was expecting and the suit selected had to be ordered. Long story short - Amber and Davidsons pulled out all the stops and I had the suit, fitted and tailored in time. It's a beautiful suit, fits perfectly, and is exactly what I needed. I was speechless. This sort of Herculean effort, from my experience, is extremely rare today, and I am so appreciative of what they did.
