Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Roanoke

If I could, I would give no stars. I went through the drive through, ordered 4 meals and told them I had coupons. I got to the "drive through" and I was told the price, $40+, and placed my coupons and money in the dumbwaiter. The attendant comes on and says she cant use my coupons because I didn't state that I had them when I placed the order. Of course I did, I replied but no. A man came on and said no and we cant change the order now. No guiding the order and reentering it, no apologies or any sort of resemblance of apologies for the mistake. I love Long John Silvers and with this transaction and rude experience, the attendants were not kind AT ALL, I haven't been back to any of them. The food wasnt even fresh. It must have been sitting under heat lamps for a while or something. So, a bummer experience that LITERALLY left a bad taste...

Tuesday June 17 2025 6PM. I'm not easily or often impressed but this place was amazing. I ordered our food in the parking lot online & it said it would be ready in 9 minutes. We walked in about a minute later & within 2 minutes they handed us our bag complete with napkins & condiments. We decided to eat in there verses on the road. We sat at a table right in front of the register. I happened to be facing the kitchen and could see everything going on in there. I was very impressed at what I saw. Everyone working was using tongs to touch all the food. The place was spotless including the restroom. The cashier was wiping down tables & restocking cups in between customers. Would have been 5 stars, except this particular restaurant has the weirdest drive-thru you will ever experience! This place must have been robbed so many times because you would think you were at a bank night deposit box when you collect your food. The whole food delivery system is a hi security low customer contact system! It's worth going through the drive-thru just for the experience getting fish sticks at Fort Knox! Funny, sad, and truely a weird experience. As for the restaurant itself, five stars, staff is great! Fresh fried food, not fried food under a heat lamp. Polite and attentive employees. This is my second time here and I wish I had a remembered to take pictures of the take-out window! Like I said it's worth a visit just to check out...
