I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this location this afternoon. I spent roughly $35 on various food items and smoothies, including my super green caesar wrap which is the purpose of this message along with the poor customer service I received. The lettuce inside of my wrap was worse than just wilted, it was brown in certain spots. Roughly 50% of my wrap was full of wilted and brown lettuce. There is no way the person who made this wrap did not see how badly decayed this lettuce was. This is a serious health hazard. I brought my wrap back and asked to speak with a manager. A young female with glasses told me there was no manager I could speak with. I showed her my wrap. She appeared annoyed with me expressing my concern. She didn't apologize and simply asked if I wanted a new one. I told her, no, I didn't want a new one and asked if my green smoothie included the same greens that she used to make my wrap. She replied, no, with an attitude as if I should know this. How am I supposed to know this? It's a logical question to ask given that there are salad greens in a green smoothie. Not to mention, I paid $8 for that smoothie... I wanted confirmation I'm not going to be drinking the same rotten greens only blended. I was disgusted by the whole situation and my treatment at this point so I told her I wanted a complete refund because I didn't want to eat any of the items anymore. She once again said nothing and looked annoyed. An apology would have been nice. I had to come all the way back because of this and took several bites from a rotten wrap! She handed me cash which I assumed was the total amount I paid for my check and I walked out. I got outside the store only to realize she only refunded me for my food and not the extra money I spent on smoothies for myself and my son. I was so upset I just left. This is awful customer service. I should have gotten a complete refund. Also, her lack of concern regarding this very serious health hazard should make everyone who eats at this location concerned as nobody can be certain what may be rotten in their orders. Read moreThis location has literally NEVER gotten an order right. The incompetence is actually astonishing.
First of all, for a fast food restaurant that markets itself as "health-conscious" it's weird that there are only 2 food items on the menu that don't include meat. I can take that up with corporate though.
But, because of that, when I go to Tropical Smoothie I often order the avocado grilled cheese WITHOUT BACON. Now, if it were me and I was involved in building Tropical Smoothie's menu, I would not make bacon a part of this sandwich. It would be a perfect vegetarian option. There are plenty of other menu items that include bacon and in which bacon makes sense. But, again maybe I'll take that up with corporate (I won't though).
Anyway, without fail, there's bacon on the sandwich. Every. Friggin. Time. I always check the sandwich before pulling away from the drive-thru because I've learned my lesson. However, today my wife picked up lunch, asked for no bacon THREE TIMES, and came home with bacon on my sandwich. The sandwich promptly went in the trash. Once you bacon something, you can't UN bacon it.

Waited in front of store for 20 minutes as app stated my order was still being prepared and they did have several in the drive thru. Finally got tired of waiting and went in as drive thru was empty at that time and inquired about my order. Employees stated that you have to come in or go through the drive thru to get your order and that it should have said that on the app and it was posted outside. I explained that it only instructed me to park out front and asked for vehicle description and no where was it posted outside. (See pictures) The girls went to giggling and repeated what was stated before and that I would know next time. (If there is a next time as it seems every time we have Ordered there has been an issue.)
