This place has fallen. Not even since COVID but in the past 6 months.
It now regularly takes 2+ hours to get food.
Drinks regularly take 30 min per order. This isn't alcohol but basic water and soda.
The server doesn't check back regularly; this means that glaring mistakes aren't corrected in a timely manner and instead compound.
The manager doesn't make rounds nor visit tables after repeat mistakes are made. This is absolutely unconscionable and stinks of poor customer service and laziness.
50% of the time your food order will be wrong. The problem with this is that by the time it is realized it's too late to correct; you'd wait another hour for the correct food order. At that point if you have any class (and most of you don't... Work on those manners and table etiquette, western Pennsylvania... Stop being the armpit of civilization. It's embarrassing.) then the table has cold food and you are now paying for poor customer service, wasted time, and reheated food... At a premium none the less as they have increased their prices by 30%.
Pf chang's... Hopefully you are listening to me (but no you're not, let's not pretend that you are and that's why you deserve the closures and eventual bankruptcy that's already creeping upon you)... As a corporate guy, I'd recommend the following. Fire everyone from assistant managers down (or only the assistant managers while putting everyone else on notice to include the general manager) and incorporate a code of conduct that focuses on customer satisfaction. That is literally why you exist. Put your general managers on notice and hold them accountable for the failures and errors of their restaurants. If their restaurants are failing then they should be hating life and working 18 hour shifts until they fix those problems.
I will not be visiting this nor any locations again (your other PA locations are just as...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I will honestly say, I will NEVER eat here again. I ordered take out to be delivered and the food was disgusting. I wouldn’t have given it to a dog. I ordered Chang’s Spicy Chicken and all I got was bits and pieces of chicken and it was like clam strips. It never used to be that way. It was always chunks of white chicken. I ordered 6 pan fried shrimp dumplings that were barely(and I mean BARELY)pan fried that they were almost raw. I then ordered a kids orange chicken and all that was on the dish was battered chicken with no sauce at all. They were advertising a red velvet cake. I called and asked if I could substitute it for a key like and spoke to Heather on the phone and she went and asked her manager that said yes and she asked my last name so she could right it on the slip. I never got it. The management there is TERRIBLE! VERY unprofessional. They don’t return phone calls either. When I called and told them the issue, I spoke with Heather, and she gave me some convoluted story that they’ve been having a problem with their orange chicken, but they didn’t have the common sense to call me and say “hey we can’t do the orange chicken, would you like something else?”. I also asked for plates, soy sauce, fortune cookies, and special sauce that they offer on their site for delivery. Heather told me: “We don’t have special sauce”. Why offer it as an option if you’re not going to put it in the bag? PF Chang’s USED TO BE my favorite restaurant, but they have definitely seen the last of me. I recommend going to Panda Express. At least you can see the food being made right in front of you and what’s in the window. If you ask them to make it fresh for you, they accommodate gladly. $52.25 is a rip off for what I got...
Read moreI have visited this location for dine-in with my friends. We were greeted well by the manager. The staff were very customer friendly. However, our group had mixed feelings about the food.
The coconut cooler was nice and tasty and everyone loved it. The veggie lettuce wraps were served well but the tofu item lacked flavour and was almost bland which ruined the overall taste. I had this item at other locations within the US and over the years and it never disappointed. The veggie spring rolls were well made and tasted good. We ordered more of them. For entrees, we ordered three orders of Singapore noodles, Kungpao chicken, Pad Thai, chicken fried rice and some kids items. Out of these only pad thai and fried rice were good. The Singapore noodles were too strong with flavour and had extra salt/sourness which made it difficult to consume. One out of the three of us couldn’t handle the taste and left it as is. The other two managed to eat it. The kungpao chicken used to be the best item for me at other locations with a slightly crispy texture on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside but here though it was well cooked the chicken tasted like dough pieces. One of the kids items were messed as well. All this while the service was great. I brought up the food experience with the manager and she has refunded one of the noodles order and two of the kids items as well as offered a ten dollar gift card, which was applied on the same order.
The PF Chang’s is a long standing reputed chain of restaurants. For the Pittsburgh location, I would rate the service as 5 star but for the food experience I would rate it as 3 star. Considering the price level and being a reputed restaurant multiple mistakes within a same order are...
